It's super moon time, which is way more noticeable when the Moon is full rather than new. There are several super moon periods every year, but we are not always aware of them or the Moon is not as full and visible when it is very close to the Earth. At 5:52 am PST (8:52 am EST), on November 14, the full moon will be the closest it has been (during a full moon) in over 60 years. Where there is visibility and the least amount of light noise in the sky, it has the potential to appear 30% brighter than the average full moon.
Well, the US elections initiated while the moon was in the late stages of Aquarius, and ended after the Moon had ingressed to Pisces. On that day, the moon begin a void of course at 8:54 am (EST) and ended at 4:45 pm (EST) at ingress. Setting the stage for high hopes and disappointments in a very contentious election this year. The waxing of the moon to this point of full moon has only added fuel to the feelings of the country and even the world. The Sun in Scorpio, as with every presidential election, is filled with feelings of hopes and disappointments, as is the nature of Scorpio. The chart of the election day had very little unifying influence in it and it was quite similar to this full moon chart.
One observation that should be noted here, is that Mars sat on the anaretic degree of Capricorn throughout election day, and finally ingressed Aquarius on November 9 at 12:53 am (EST). Within 30 minutes of that Mars ingress, the rest of the world was made aware of the election results. Coincidence of timing? We don't think so.
So how does this full moon tie into all the election fall out? As mentioned earlier, the full moon chart is very similar to the election chart. There is very little cohesion of aspects. There are no stelliums and no patterns that tie the planets together for a blending of energies.
The Sun in Scorpio is opposed by the Moon in Taurus. This tends to cause us to feel torn between our own needs, and the needs/desires of others. Relationships may collapse under the weight of our desires for self-control. Today, the Sun is alone in Scorpio, with no other planets that it can lean on. The Moon is alone in Taurus, and these two luminaries are without any form of comfort from the other planets for consolation.
There are several planets that have recently ingressed to new signs, and this can add to our feelings of insecurity.
Mercury recently ingressed Sagittarius (November 12), looking for new patterns upon which to help us make sense of our new environment. Mercury is forming a sextile to Mars in Aquarius. We can be quick to judge others or easily find fault with others' actions, in a way that is detrimental to our world view.
Venus recently ingressed Capricorn (November 12), that encourages us to try to consort with others who have similar views. We are looking for a sense of security, psychologically and economically.
Mars ingressed Aquarius (November 9), encouraging us to spread and share our views with others that we can connect with. While there is a tendency to express our freedom from the norms, it can also culminate into a form of group-think of actions.
Jupiter in Libra is sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius and square to Pluto in Capricorn. Be aware that Uranus retrograde in Aries is moving back into a square with Pluto, by the end of November, which will form a T-square with Jupiter. We are not, yet, done with the "uprisings" that the square between Pluto and Uranus have generated over the past few years. That can breed more loathing and hatred of "others" that we may resent for failing to see our own views on life.
Saturn in Sagittarius is also trine to Uranus retrograde in Aries. This can fuel our desire to organize with others.
Interestingly, there is a balance within this chart, based on receptive energy, elemental placements and qualities. This is good for us, as it can help us to balance emotions with actions. However, the aspects do not help us to add the collective into our ideas. We certainly have the ability to develop new ideas, but we may not be able to foresee the problems that could culminate from those ideas until much later down the road. A bit of that sage advice of "be careful what you wish for" is needed in the light of this Super Full Moon in Taurus
