The Sun and Moon meet up in Sagittarius today while forming a square to Neptune in Pisces. This can be difficult for us, as we want knowledge and truth for better comprehension. Yet, instead, we may be fed half-truths or outright lies in an effort to confuse us. It becomes important for our own safety to verify and research rather than simply believing what others tell us. We want new experiences to be rewarding and fact filled, but it is up to us to make good use of our skills.

Mercury in Sagittarius helps us to sort through patterns, looking for hidden meaning. This can be a great time for true discovery especially while Mercury in trine to Uranus retrograde in Aries. We may discover that the learning arrives in an unusual manner, but that's not intended to slow us down.

Venus in Capricorn can feel somewhat stifled, but we are truly seeking a sense of security in ways that may not feel natural to us. Venus is forming an apex conjunction with Pluto to the cardinal t-square to Jupiter in Libra and Uranus retrograde in Aries. This pushes on us to come to terms with changes in authority. We may discover that we are not comfortable with the situation. Some of us are more likely to revolt than conform. This is the nature of a Pluto to Uranus square. It is a time of change. While many want change for the sake of change, Pluto has a way of teaching us lessons that we never anticipated. Jupiter expands on this, and pushes us to either stand up, or stand down. The level of intensity can be triggered by the most mundane of events.

Mars in Aquarius taps into our humanitarian side. With the trine to Jupiter in Libra, and the sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius, we may find ourselves starting over again from scratch. Sometimes, the best way to learn is to first observe. Be open to the less than obvious perspective before making a decision. Be aware of others who want you to believe their way is the only way. Step away from the group think to reach our own conclusions.

Saturn in Sagittarius is trine to Uranus retrograde in Aries. This can alter our concepts of will-power. A small movement of freedom to express a different perspective can open a path of empowerment for others.

This new moon chart has many cues for us about power and changes to come. There's a preponderance of masculine receptives, that makes us feel more independent and outgoing. Finding the most practical approach with a smile and charm can be very disarming to the competition. Where we may falter is with our lack of persistence. We may give in too easily if we do not feel any sense of reward for our actions. The key is to keep an open mind and be creative.
