Lunar Eclipse of November, 2003

A Look Back in TimeLunar Eclipses of Saros 126According to Rose Lineman we can assume that the influences of the initial Eclipse will sustain its energy through the entire Saros series. Ms. Lineman did considerable research on Solar and Lunar Eclipses and compiled her research in several books addressing the astrological factors of the Eclipses in respect to their Saros series. With that research in mind, we might want to keep this initial chart and its energies in focus with each new lunar eclipse that is formed approximately every nineteen to twenty years for the Saros series of 126. The energies of the Sun in Cancer with the Capricorn Moon speak to the opposing or conflicting ideals with the nurturing Moon located in the authoritative taskmaster's realm of Capricorn. The Moon's placement in Capricorn is not at all comfortable since it is already opposing its home of Cancer. Also note that Saturn opposes its home base of Capricorn and the Moon in Capricorn. The respective placements of the Moon and the Saturn in this chart, speak to the discomfort of the overall energies from this chart. Even though we would state that the Moon and Saturn's placement are in Mutual Reception, it does not minimize the sense of insecurity felt by each of the planets in their detriment placements. We should assume that this discomfort will continue into each and every lunar eclipse chart of Saros 126 until that series runs out. Jupiter, in Virgo, does its best to defuse the volatile energies by creating a harmonious transition Wedge to the opposing factions. Jupiter in Virgo will enhance the logic necessary to create the proper balance between the two blocs. The Chart, in and of itself, is definitely speaking to the significance of hearth and heart with five placements in Cancer. However, the South Node's placement in Cancer seems to speak volumes. Are the energies likely to influence too much weight in Cancer leading one to hunker down and pull a hard shell over one's ideals rather than venturing out to see what other options might be available? The South Node energies are the type that could keep us from moving forward. Our growth comes from pushing to the North Node traits, which in this chart would be in Capricorn. The tests that we must endure in order to learn from the Saros would seemingly come from finding and defining our sense of independence while closely tied to our family. Although not always easy, it can be done. Jupiter is there to help by reminding us that our co-workers and work connections can tie us back into our family and our social status without sacrificing one for the other. You might also notice that this chart does not include Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, or Chiron. The reason is that, in a sense, they did not "exist" yet. Yes, they were up there. Yes, these heavenly bodies did exist, but mankind was not aware of them yet and their influence was minimal, at best. The energy was more like "white background noise." We paid no attention to it because we were not tuned in to it. So, I choose not to include the background noise of these planetary placements because in the year 1210, their energies were not recognized nor heard. So, are we ready to jump now to the upcoming Lunar Eclipse? This is the Lunar Eclipse of November 8 - 9, 2003 that so many people are calling the Harmonic Concordance. It is the 45th Lunar Eclipse in the Saros series 126. The previous Lunar Eclipse of this particular series was on October 28, 1985. There will be 27 more Lunar Eclipses in this series with the last one being on August 30, 2490. Please understand that I will not do the actual Eclipse chart interpretation at this time, since that would leave an "article void" for us when the Lunar Eclipse actually occurs. However, I do want to point out some of the interesting aspects between the original Saros 126 chart and this current Lunar Eclipse chart. The first noticeable factors are Saturn and Jupiter both returning to the signs that they were in for the original Saros chart, Cancer and Virgo, respectively. Although they are not at the exact same points, they are moving through the same energies that they were back in 1210. This helps to reiterate the original influences of that early chart. Looking first to Jupiter in Virgo, it is at 14 degrees, helping us to clear the clutter from our current environment. The fact that Jupiter is in the 2nd decan of Virgo, gives us a secondary Capricorn influence because this decan is sub-ruled by Saturn. This region encourages us to hone our professional tactics and methodical approach. Saturn in Cancer is at 13 degrees and in retrograde motion. This influence is sometimes difficult to comprehend. We know how important it is to build a solid foundation based on our past experiences, but discovering which experiences will help us the most could be confusing, at best. We want to create close ties to our family, but something or someone may hinder our efforts. Saturn's presence in the 2nd decan of Cancer takes on an added Scorpio influence. We may find that a creative outlet goes a long ways to help us express our feelings better to our loved ones. The aspects of the Lunar Eclipse chart to the original Saros chart may also help us to uncover some definition. The current Mercury in Scorpio Sextile to the "1210" Moon in Capricorn is likely to encourage us to speak up about our feelings. Finding the ability to express our sympathy helps us to be perceived as better listeners and capable of hearing the true message. It could also indicate a period of time where we are likely to hear from someone in our past who needs to convey an important message to us. Mercury's Sextile to the "1210" Jupiter in Virgo on the other side can give us a sense of awareness. As a result, negotiating contracts and business requiring mental collaborations are truly favored. The current Mercury Trines the "1210" Sun, Mercury and Saturn Stellium in Cancer. Conversations about long range plans, clear perceptions and common-sense decisions are accented by this Trine. Writing, speaking and advertising our best skills are all definitely highlighted at this time. Mars in Pisces forms Trines to the "1210" Venus and Mars in Cancer positions. Now how wonderful is this? A combination of self-confidence, energy on a physical level and new-found vigor is truly obvious from this aspect. We could feel more sexually attractive to our loved ones. Interactions between the sexes will possibly feel even more revved up than normal. Our creative bent is also likely to flourish. The only down side is the likelihood of too many leaders and not enough followers. We may clash if no one is willing to follow another's lead. Chiron in Capricorn may pass along some invaluable lessons about our relationship and/or money issues while it gradually leaves the Opposition to the "1210" Venus in Cancer point. We can look to these energies to bring us support as we transition through this Lunar Eclipse. There are some individuals who are claiming that the Lunar Eclipse or the Harmonic Concordance creates an aspect pattern that will bring us a newfound sense of peace and harmony based on the appearance of a "Star of David." This pattern is also known as a Grand Sextile or a Grand Hexagram, and the healing functions of this pattern may have been presented just a bit too simplistic in nature. It is unlikely that we can all find peace at the same time, simply because the evolution of the human spirits are not all on the same plane. As we evolve individually, we must each live through our own lessons to find our own sense of truth. As I have mentioned in the past, it is not yet clear just how momentous the Chiron impact will be. We do not have enough experience with Chiron in our charts just yet. We have only known about Chiron for approximately 26 years, which has not even made a complete revolution around the Sun since its discovery. In truth, we may not compile a complete and comprehensive understanding (data base of experience) of this planetoid for another 40 to 50 years. Our understanding of Chiron is still in its infancy. So to put out so much hope and expectation of a planetoid that we still have so little knowledge about, may not be realistic. However, that does not mean that we should assume the worst, either. Even without factoring in Chiron, the Lunar Eclipse reveals a five-point star contained within a Mystic Rectangle pattern with Saturn being the focal planet in Cancer. The fact that Saturn is retrograde gives it a bit of Jupiterian promise for betterment. But, also like I have stated earlier, I will not go into explaining this chart, in its present form, until we are closer to the actual Eclipse. Perhaps our best hope is to be open to the possibilities without placing all our eggs in the basket of expectation. Let's stay realistic in the probabilities so that our true growth and prospects are formed on a stable base of knowledge and common sense.
