Sun is Capricorn, 22° 27'
Moon is Cancer, 22° 27'
This full moon in Cancer with the Sun in Capricorn is likely to weigh heavy on us as we adapt to the new year. There's a Cardinal Grand Cross aspect as well as a Wedge pattern that is being formed from the Full Moon's interaction with Pluto in Capricorn. Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries are tying up the Grand Cross, while Mars and Chiron in Pisces are tied into the Wedge. There is the potential for frustration being expressed at various levels with the trigger to rage being as minimal as a look or a grimace. Try to find productive outlets for the anger rather than turning on each other.
There are no retrograde planets in this chart, which has both perks and drawbacks when navigating through the intensity displayed in this type of chart. Be ready for anything, from natural disasters to defending our turf.
Mercury recently finished a retrograde transit and it moving back through the "shadow" of the transit. Today, it is at the anaretic degree of Sagittarius, adding a different level of intensity to the concepts of education, philosophy and politics. Try to be open to another's views without being critical, even if we don't agree.
There are four planets in Pisces; Venus forming a conjunction with Neptune, and Mars forming a conjunction with Chiron. There's an empathetic and imaginative side to these transits, but there's also a vulnerable and unrealistic side. Now is not the time to be fully believing of what others are attempting to convince us to believe. While we can be open to the information, we still need to verify and confirm the information. If others get upset with our desire to check on sources, then let that be a warning that something may not be quite right with the situation.
Mars and Chiron are forming a square to Saturn in Sagittarius. While we may feel drained from the events of the day, Saturn's placement and connection adds to our determination to finish what we have started.
Saturn in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Libra are connecting up with Uranus in Aries to form a different Wedge aspect in this chart. If we stay focused, we will be able to open up opportunities for ourselves in the near future since this aspect pattern will be with us well beyond the full moon. There's a level of intuition in this aspect that helps us to stay organized in the process.
Collectively, this full moon has the potential to open up options for us, but at the same time, there will be frustrations that we will need to navigate. The planets are predominantly transiting through feminine receptives which are earth and water elements. For those of us who are more outward in our approach in life, we may struggle to try to balance our own needs with the needs of others. The extra weight in this receptive could push sensitive buttons for us today. Try to keep it in perspective, as there are five placements in water signs that encourage us to "shift and shape" to adapt to the environment. Try not to over-think within the moment. We can trust our first instincts. Our downfall might be revealed if we try to avoid our responsibilities for the day. Don't be too quick to blame someone for an incident that was ours to handle.
Happy New Year!
