Sun is Aries, 16° 07'
Moon is Libra, 16° 07'

The full moon for today is in Libra, and is now waning into a solar eclipse in two weeks. According to the Farmers' Almanac, this is the Pink Moon, but other Native American tribes had different names, such as Wild Goose Moon, Geese Lay Their Eggs Moon, Melting Moon, or the Broken Snowshoe Moon. There are almost as many moon names as there were tribes in North America.

With the Sun in Aries, we are feeling like we need to get some things done but having a difficult time prioritizing those projects. Take a few minutes to make a list to put on the mirror to remember which projects have significance. With the Sun being conjunct with Jupiter today, we are likely to be more scattered than usual as we encounter more opportunities than usual.

The Moon in Libra is forming an inconjunct (quincunx) to Uranus in Taurus. This may cause us some emotional challenges today based on situations that we were not expecting. These could be events that we thought we had handled, from the past, or brand new situations that we simply had no way to prepare for or anticipate.

Mercury, in Taurus, has our main focus directed on home and personal safety issues. Question being, can we find the resources to repair or prop up those concerns? Mercury is sextile to Mars in Cancer. Yes! Cancer, finally. Family members are likely to cause us to feel insecure (or we cause family members to feel insecure). Thankfully, this is a minor communication glitch that, with effort, we can take care of. In the opposite direction of the chart, Mercury is forming a sextile to Saturn in Pisces. This one is a bit more helpful with organizing our thoughts and planning our strategies. The trine from Saturn to Mars provides a good base for regrouping and working through the issues. What is likely to cause us to stumble is the square from Mercury to Pluto in Aquarius. This could be a Foot in Mouth situation, encouraging us to blurt our thoughts before checking in on our feelings or the feelings of others.

Retrograde Alert - Mercury will station retrograde in Taurus on April 21.

Venus in Taurus is sextile to Neptune in Pisces. Romance may be confusing but fun in unusual ways. We should just go with the flow to explore what turns up. Money matters, on the other hand, may cause us to feel short changed. Watch out for scammers.

As mentioned earlier, Mars is in Cancer. Mars ingressed Cancer on March 25th and will leave Cancer on May 20th. Working through our emotions may involve some self-directed activities, from taking hikes to help us clear our minds, to yoga to help us destress. Being a couch potato is not our best option. The key is to find healthy ways to release pent-up feelings, and not direct those feelings at others.

We are in a moment of full moon clarity, which is not all that common during a full moon. We feel like we have some intuition to work with, and we also feel like we have the support of others that we can count on, or lean on. This will help us, as long as we can temper our comments. There are six planets in the feminine receptive signs, and fortunately they are balanced between Earth and Water signs. Not too much of one or the other helps us to keep moving forward with both grace and fortitude. We are unlikely to get stuck for very long, if at all.

A new page is being developed on our Moon Tracks site. If you enjoy exploring the monthly moon phases beyond the full and new moons, you might enjoy using this new page. Monthly Moon Phases. Even though it is still in its testing phase, it is becoming quite popular as it allows you to chose the time zone and the hemisphere you are located in.
