Sun is Virgo, 13° 53'
Moon is Pisces, 13° 53'
This full moon in Pisces is the first full moon after the total solar eclipse. Some of that energy of the eclipse bubbles over into the next moon event. As such, much of the predicted change from the eclipse is still unfolding. For many people, the need for change is forced on them by weather and destruction. In the United States, the southern states in the south east are dealing with hurricanes and flooding. The states in the west are dealing with fires. Some of the fires are from lightning, but the majority are fires due to careless people and automobiles. Thousands of homes have already been destroyed. Other countries are also suffering from the affects of Mother Nature. As much as humans love to have control over their environment, the universe reminds us that change will be forced upon us. Disaster Response Map
When the Sun transits through Virgo, we are likely to become more focused on health, cohesion, productivity and working environments. The opposing Moon in Pisces flavors these events with mental health, dreams, caregiving and social welfare. The Moon's conjunction with Neptune retrograde in Pisces can add levels of confusion or an over-worked imagination and fear. The full moon ties into Pluto retrograde in Capricorn with a wedge pattern. The aspects tied together encourage us to adapt, morph our expectations, and move towards a better situation, rather than simply rebuilding for status quo. We can control our thoughts and feelings. We can't control much of anything else.
Mercury has just (literally) finished up the retrograde motion and is moving back into the anaretic degree of Leo. This can feel like we are crossing the river on a slippery log. Do we just wait a day or two before we push forward, or take the risk because we don't feel as though there is a choice. It will depend on the situation for each of us. Mercury is trine to Uranus retrograde in Aries. So many quick decisions to be made without the comfort of support or guidance.
Venus is plugging along in Leo without any major aspects to the other planets. We just want to play right now, but other planets are pushing us out of our comfort zone.
Yesterday, Mars jumped into Virgo territory, and our vitality will be influenced with Virgo concepts for the next seven weeks. We are likely to approach life with fierce honesty. On the other hand, our ideas of "excellence" can become annoying to others who have a different perspective of excellence. Virgo is not beholden to the lone-spirit type of attitude. Connections with others are important.
Jupiter is finishing its transit through Libra. The 10th of October will be the ingress for Jupiter into Scorpio. Those individuals who have been blessed with Jupiter's rewards while in Libra have a few more weeks to squeeze all that is possible out of the transit before we need to adapt to the new approach in life that will come from Jupiter in Scorpio. During this full moon, Jupiter and Saturn in Sagittarius are forming a sextile, which can help us with rebuilding, if necessary.
The receptive placements of this chart are balanced with masculine and feminine, giving us the ability to see both sides. The chart is lacking in Air elements, so our decision making may need extra attention so that we don't suffer with the consequence of a quick decision. Even though Mercury is transiting direct motion again, there's some hold over from the retrograde shadow. Additionally, there are too many planets at this time in mutable signs. While this can help us to adapt, it can also cause us to feel paralyzed with too many choices to make. Doing what is essential to get through the event. Review the situation later when there is more time to reflect.
Sending thoughts and prayers out to all those impacted by the fires and the flooding over the past few weeks and in the coming weeks. Stay safe.
