Sun is Libra, 2° 00'
Moon is Aries, 2° 00'
During this Harvest Moon, the Sun in Libra brings us into fall, in the northern hemisphere (spring in the southern). For many of us, we were already experiencing a color change in the landscape with trees and shrubs starting to change their leaf hues to more accurately reflect the seasonal change. Mercury is conjunct to the Sun in Libra, adding more intensity to the day, as we are reminded to think situations through with equality and fairness in mind. We are expected to cool our jets with all the power and bravado. Instead, we are expected to be more accepting. We know the drill; be willing to walk a mile in the other person's shoes. We may not be seeing a lot of this from the political setting, but that's what the universe would like to see from us at the moment.
The Moon in Aries is opposing the Sun, which can lead to several emotional outbursts as we know what we want, but have no intention of stepping back, even a step, in order to get it. The Moon is opposing Mercury which tends to bog us down with previous details and we won’t let go of the old hurts in order to rise above those trivial issues. We seem to feel that the stakes could not be higher, at least in regard to our emotions. The opposition is square to Saturn in Capricorn, forming a T-square that tends to have a life lesson or two, in store for us. We are likely to feel bottled up today. It is as if we are only able to see our situations from one angle, and even that is from a vacuum of our own creation. Most likely, it is our childhood memories impeding our ability to rise above the fracas.
The Sun and Mercury are trine to Mars in Aquarius, while the Moon is sextile helping us to have an outlet during this difficult day. Mars of all planets, has the potential of helping us to let go of our frustrations. Mars, in Aquarius, helps us to spread out some of our nervous energies. We see more potential in a variety of opportunities opening up. The Wedge pattern with the full moon gives us ways to help others and to avoid a lot of the conflict brewing in other areas of our lives. We need to explore this path, at least for a few days, to see how helping others is also helping ourselves. Mars is square to Uranus retrograde in Taurus. Our impulses are being tamped down by Uranus retrograde. While we may feel some discomfort from this, it may actually be to our benefit.
Venus in Scorpio is hanging out alone at the moment, heading into a meet up with Jupiter. For now, we are willing to explore some of those financial options that spring up from family and close associates. It's not always about making money, it can also be about saving money. Don't let pride become the reason for losing money.
Jupiter in Scorpio is sextile to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn, and Pluto is sextile to Neptune retrograde in Pisces. The three, tied together, are forming a small alliance to work in concert. There is a very spiritual and mysterious connection here, as we are likely to explore matters that are normally considered to be taboos, or beyond our realm. Allowing ourselves to wonder while also keeping some skepticism in our observations, can help us to find new intellectual outlets this week.
Uranus is being a conduit also, between Mars and Saturn. Mentioned earlier, Mars is square to Uranus retrograde on the cusp of Taurus. Saturn in Capricorn is trine to Uranus. This adds a secondary level of will-power and wit to our week, especially when it comes to helping others and/or paying it forward as needed. When Saturn is involved, it is important that we not overlook the value of our actions.
For the day, our insight and perspective may be somewhat scattered. Where we are low is in the Fire element and the Mutable qualities. We are not going to feel like being a leader, even if we know that no one else will step up. In that vein, we need to use the team approach. Be a temporary leader by delegating responsibilities, then team it together with group leadership. It's a short-term solution so that productivity does not slow down or devolve into a meltdown. Mars truly is the clue to working through this. We may need to be a bit more rigid to get it done together, even though, normally, we would need to meld and adapt to get through. This time, lacing up the boots a bit tight is more important.
