Sun is Libra, 6° 00'
Moon is Aries, 6° 00'

The Equinox was a few days ago and the extension of extra daylight is now heading towards the southern hemisphere, meaning that now the days will be shorter in the northern hemisphere, as in all of North America and Europe. The Sun is now transiting Libra and the full moon in Aries is the Harvest Moon. The sign of Libra is represented by the balancing scales of justice. The influence is less about taking personal power, but spreading or distributing among others. That is one of the reasons that Libra is considered the "partnership" sign in that both individuals within a bonded relationship are to have equal power, whether that's a business or a marriage. We typically struggle to accept this influence for what it is, especially if we believe that "someone" needs to have all the power or most of the power. And, Aries, the sign of "the independent self" pushes back at Libra to try to make this point. Hence, the Moon's transit in Aries causes us to feel unbalanced. The justice that will be meted out, may only look like justice to the ones who are not receiving the verdict. But, the whole "jury of our peers" is the concept of a Libran thought process. The decision is not made by a single individual, but a consensus of all who hold an equal amount of power.

Mercury is still in the sign of Virgo, forming a trine to Uranus retrograde in Taurus. Our intuitive side may be shocked to discover insights on matters that we thought were behind us. Two other aspects to Uranus add to this. Venus in Leo is square to Uranus while Mars in Libra is inconjunct to Uranus. Venus and Mars are forming a sextile and it would seem that Uranus' retrograde is somehow adding confusion or conflict to the Mars and Venus interaction. Finding a sense of self-satisfaction in any given situation will help us to work through the difficult moments that Uranus is stirring up.

Jupiter retrograde in Taurus and Saturn retrograde in Pisces are less involved during this full moon, which may be a good thing for us. At the moment, the three outer planets are all being pushy with their opinions. We have been dealing with the three outer planets for the past few weeks, Neptune retrograde in Pisces is sextile to Uranus retrograde in Taurus and Neptune is also sextile to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. Our attitudes and beliefs are being shifted and shaped at this time. Let's just say, in all respects, we are not happy with this. Many individuals are pushing back, thinking that by being all angry and belligerent, somehow we are going to get our way. Well, it never, ever, seems to work out that way. The louder and more verbose we become, the less power we hold over the situation. Remember the biblical story describing the less vocal who are suffering in the middle of a catastrophe? "Blessed are the meek...", well this is one of those times where biting our tongues for the sake of peace, while continuing to take care of the needs for ourselves and our loved ones will be more rewarding than fighting with the neighbor who is busy "losing their proverbial sh*t." It would seem that we gain more power by stepping around the noisy.

Look back at the last few moon articles to read more about the power of the three outer planets forming sextiles.

In all honesty, while we may feel as though one of our legs if being kicked out from under us, the planets are lined up in a way to provide us plenty of support. Use the message of Libra. Leaning in on our trusted partners provides added support. Of the four elements in the zodiac, there are at least two planets placed in each element, and of the three qualities, there are at least three planets in each. This allows us to see and feel as though we are able to explore a variety of perspectives that will allow us to find solutions to just about any problem that might culminate in the light of this full moon. The solution is not found in the immediacy of the event, but in our deliberate reaction to seeking balance.

Meditation for the September 29th Full Moon
Nietzsche was fond of saying that acts of love take place beyond good and evil.
