Full Moon
in: Aries 24° October 17, 2024 @ 11:26 am GMT October 17, 2024 @ 04:26 am PDT -7
Sun is Libra, 24° 35'
Moon is Aries, 24° 35' From Native American lore, this full moon is the Hunter Moon. A time of preparation for the lean winter months. The Sun in Libra is opposing the Moon in Aries and thankfully, is likely to help us resolve some of the challenges that came from the Eclipses a few weeks ago. But, some of the resolutions will come from facing issues head on. The full moon is in a t-square with Mars in Cancer, a wedge with Jupiter retrograde in Gemini, and the Sun is forming an inconjunction with Uranus retrograde in Taurus. The best use of these connections is to keep it real. Look for the facts and if it sounds too good to be true... well, we know what that means. Libra themes, like equality, peace, finding balance, and looking for opportunities to resolve problems are likely to feel more important during this full moon, even though the Aries moon is in the spotlight. The Moon helps, by providing emotional leadership and finding quick outlets. Those planetary connections also tie into a cradle aspect pattern of Venus in Scorpio, Uranus retrograde (Taurus), Neptune retrograde in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn. Since Pluto and Venus are on Anaretic degrees, there is some added uneasiness to the cradle traits. A cradle aspect pattern is one half of the Grand Sextile, so it lacks the continuity of the six planetary connections that weave together the sextiles, trines and oppositions that merge into one big optimistic force. But some of that influence is still there. We are able to flow through the "stuff" with less of a bogged down feeling. The Mars trine from Cancer to Neptune retrograde in Pisces adds some confusion but nothing that we can’t deal with. Family is likely to step up to help us accomplish some tasks that have been on the back burner. The dreams we are experiencing are power packed, with the potential to guide us into, or out of, some situations. Some individuals may find inner peace by journaling as soon as they awaken. Pluto stationed direct for the final time this century in the sign of Capricorn. We will be back into the mode of adapting to the Pluto in Aquarius ideals, where our perspectives will feel less dogmatic and constrained by the "authorities" in our lives. A new form of transformation will greet us as Pluto moves through Aquarius for the next couple of decades. It is believed that the influence of Pluto through Capricorn leans heavier into conservative ideology, while the Pluto through Aquarius sign leans more towards populism, pulling society out of elitist control mindset, and into a groupthink of the "common" people. It will be interesting to see if this is a valid belief. During this full moon, our strength shows up best when we find ways to resolve matters without resorting to conflict. If we know someone is being dishonest or manipulative, we can accept, acknowledge, and release, rather than instigating, resorting and taking revenge. We shouldn’t try to "fix" the other person, because we don’t need to keep that negativity in our lives. Finding ways to change our environment often arrives in the form of a changed perspective.
