Sun is Sagittarius, 4° 51'
Moon is Gemini, 4° 51'

This Beaver full moon in Gemini has the Sun moving through Sagittarius, as we head into the December Solstice in little less than a month. Today's Sun and Moon transit has both bodies moving through critical degrees of Gemini and Sagittarius. Of course, anytime there's a critical degree involved, we definitely feel the influence in ways that stand out. We are likely to feel energized but restless at the same time. How to channel all that energy is important. The Sun is conjunct to Mars, while square to Saturn in Pisces. adding a couple more layers to this full moon. This T-square with the Moon brings up challenges for us to overcome quickly, or we are likely to struggle for a few days coming to terms with the outcomes. It is more likely to feel like we want to blame others for our emotions, when in truth, it boils down to establishing healthy boundaries. Learning how to separate ourselves from unhealthy interactions is not always so easy, as we have developed relationships that feel important with some people, but at the same time, we are allowing others' negativity to take us on a bad path. It can almost feel like an addiction that we don't want to let go of. Now can be a good time to get some professional assistance, or delve into some healthy self-help to create those boundaries that can bring some much-needed emotional assistance.

Mercury is also in Sagittarius, but far enough ahead of the Sun to have its own distint energy here. Mercury's influence tends to accentuate learning and discovery. We are more likely to delve into subjects that have always interested us in the past, but didn't have the energy or inclination to learn about until now. Mercury and Sagittarius is also a great time to invent or improve on existing inventions. Mercury is sextile to Venus in Libra but square to Neptune in Pisces. This spurs our desire to create something new, from food to machinery, we can tap into our creative sides and explore. Just remember, it may not be perfect, or even what we envisioned, but the creative aspect isn't always about it being something useful, or tasty, but learning what we can from the experience.

Venus in Libra is forming an inconjunct aspect, a quincunx, to Uranus retrograde in Taurus. This one can be challenging, on some levels, but if we allow for the realization that what we learn from these two planets is actually for the greater good, at least on a personal level, we will come out ahead in the long run. It may feel like a rough life-lesson, however, lessons learned are never negative, IF we actually learned to do better.

As mentioned, Mars is in Sagittarius, and it is forming an out of sign sextile to Pluto that recently stationed direct, in Capricorn. The influence here is diluted, but still helps us to see through deceptive practices. Remember, if this is helping us to be aware, others are also aware that manipulative practices are less viable, thus may quickly try to cover their tracks. We are less likely to get involved in organizations or ideologies that are counterproductive to our personal needs when Mars and Pluto are connected with a sextile or a trine. With the square to Saturn, we may get frustrated with others, who won't play into our manipulative games, either.

The long continuing sextiles between Neptune retrograde in Pisces, to Pluto in Capricorn, and Uranus retrograde in Taurus has us searching to understand the changes that are being brought to our awareness. We may be inclined to try to find safety in old ideas, but are realizing that those old ideas are effectively useless in today's life. Trying to turn back to the old ways is counter productive to where we need to be moving. Granted, we need to be cautious not to assume that the changes are all good. Yet, at the same time, we need to find balance within these new ways that are being presented to us.

Neptune will station direct in Pisces on December 6. Mercury in Capricorn will station retrograde on December 13. While Neptune's station will have only a minor impact on us, Mercury's impacts will be the type that effectively cause us to feel unprepared for the holiday season. In other words, get our shopping done early, our menu plans and most of our holiday food lined up early so that we are prepared to tackle the Mercury retrograde effect, head on. Mercury will station direct on January 2, 2024, in Sagittarius. But, be aware that Mercury will retrograde back into Sagittarius on December 23, which tends to cause a bit of a whiplash, when moving back into a different sign than it started in.

For this full moon, the Moon is transiting Out of Bound (OOB) to a fairly extreme out of bounds point in the northern declinations. As such, we are likely to feel emotionally vulnerable. Don't be surprised if there are tears involved, as we may experience a breaking point. Mercury is also transiting OOB until the middle of December. Perfectly good ideas may get swept away as unrealistic in the blink of an eye. OOB transits are frequently associated with natural disasters that cause many of us to lose everything or have to start all over from scratch. The best option is to be prepared when traveling, or when there is a storm or wild fire moving through the area. Leave and travel to a safer area, if there is any warning, to at least, survive, when there are planets transiting OOB.

The best news ever, with this Gemini full moon is the fact that, across the zodiac, the placements are fairly well balanced. Equal placements in masculine and feminine signs, and also across the elements. This helps us to cope better with any difficulties that get presented to us. However, there are a large number of mutable qualities in this chart, causing us to become more optimistic or more depressed than we need to be. We may swing hot or cold to the extreme, which can impede our ability to deal with difficult situations. The full moon chart gives us the option to step back and reassess our situations, if we take the opportunity to do so.
