This month's full moon was known as the Cold Moon by some tribes in the Northeastern region of the United States. The Sun is finishing up its transit through Sagittarius, but Mercury will still be there, working its way back through the sign after the retrograde transit ends later in the day. The Moon in Gemini is opposing for the full moon, and tying the full moon into a T-square with Neptune in Pisces. Watch out for fanatics and fantasy, because reality is distorted with this transit. The Sun is also forming an inconjunct (quincunx) aspect to Uranus retrograde in Taurus. It is not so clear how this one will play out, but is likely to cause some sudden shifts that challenge us to fix or react quickly.

Mercury retrograde is in a wedge pattern aspect with Mars retrograde in Leo and Venus in Aquarius. We are likely to fall into learning new ideas or coping strategies as the result of a broken relationship. If not a broken relationship, it may be the result of a financial hardship that pushes us to explore new options. Wedges always bring out the best from the worst of a situation. When there are retrograde planets in the mix, we just need to become more creative in our approach.

Jupiter retrograde in Gemini is square to Saturn in Pisces, forcing us to deal with situations incrementally, or possibly needing to start all over. The key is to make ever step count and try not to skip any, in the process.

The sextiles between the three generational planets, Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Pisces, and Uranus retrograde in Taurus is still causing us to deal with the changes that we would rather avoid. The connection between Uranus and Neptune can help us develop some sudden insights into matters that are weighing heavy on our minds, but the sextile from Neptune to Pluto is less helpful. We may feel as though the information is useless. But, in truth, there's an important clue embedded in messages some where, we just don't know how to sort it out, just yet.

We are likely to feel compelled to act or move something forward today, but we may be dealing with mixed messages that make us unsure how to act. There are seven planets in the Masculine Receptives today. We just want to fix the problem, but are we actually fixing? There is only one Earth Element placement, so we are less grounded than typical. Additionally, there are no placements in the Cardinal signs, so we may feel less confident about where we should be headed. On the other hand, there are six planets in Mutable signs, so we are very adaptive today. Perhaps our best strategy is to adjust as needed, without trying to fix all our problems. Just making it through the day may be our better option during this full moon.
