Sun is Leo, 15° 25'
Moon is Aquarius, 15° 25'
This full moon in Aquarius is the Lunar Eclipse that will be the lead-in for the total solar eclipse in two weeks. This lunar eclipse is partial, from saros series 119 (61) that originated October 14, 935 (adjusted to for Gregorian Calendar). The eclipse can be best viewed in Australia, Asia, Europe and Africa. With this eclipse, we are starting the nodal eclipse families all over. This eclipse belongs to the first (1) nodal family and it originated from the south.
The Sun is in the sign of Leo while the moon opposes in Aquarius, giving a hot/cold experience. With Aquarius, we like friends who keep their distance while Leo is more of an "in your face" type of interaction, wanting to know all about your business, what makes you tick, and to some extent, hoping for loyalty.
With the Sun's conjunction to Mars in Leo, we tend to be more pushy. It's a possessive trait that comes through, possible making us less attractive, psychologically. The full moon is making a wedge pattern aspect with Jupiter in Libra. This can impact our relationships. It has a tendency to shore up the healthier relationships, while causing less healthy ones to slip. This can be a good time to initiate counseling or therapy to explore the various roles of our behaviors with one another.
The Sun is moving into a trine with Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius. This connection encourages us to rethink our abilities and values. Saturn's retrograde comes across as being more Jupiter-like, helping us to be more open to the options and opportunities, whenever proactive aspects are forming.
Mercury is right at home in Virgo, helping us to be more industrious in our thoughts. This is typically a good time to show off our work skills, and to take care of our health. Mercury is sextile to Venus in Cancer. There's added charm, artistic capabilities, and money connected to this. Where we need to be careful is our optimism. The opposition from Mercury to Neptune retrograde in Pisces can mess with our health and with our perceptions of reality. While Mercury is opposing Neptune, recognize that routine medical procedures may not go as planned.
Jupiter in Libra is plowing through the sign as the planet wraps up its one-year transit. In October, Jupiter will be moving into Scorpio. If we have been receiving perks from Jupiter's transit in Libra, now is the time to get the max out of the transit and tie up any loose ends by October.
Jupiter is sextile to Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius. This can be a good time for business ventures. However, be careful and prudent with investments, while Jupiter is square to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. Others have a tendency to try to dupe us with false promises during this aspect. Do the appropriate research on risky propositions throughout the month of August, to try to minimize the potential for financial ruin or loss of personal reputation.
The final major aspect during this eclipse is the sextile from Neptune retrograde in Pisces to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. With both planets moving with a retrograde motion, the aspect is more complex. There is an intuitive/psychic feature to the aspect when both planets are moving direct; so the inverse of this may have us, and others, delving into our innermost feelings. There's a strong mental depression component associated with this connection, as well. With the two planets transiting slowly, the aspect, as it is, will continue through the month of September. Keep a close eye on loved ones, who are experiencing mental health issues.
The most positive facet of this Lunar Eclipse chart is the resiliency tied to the alignments. In retrospect, even with the complexity of interpersonal problems, we have the wherewithal to regroup and change for the better. The challenge will be in finding the silver linings before we make a major mess of things.
