Moon is Aquarius, 8° 15'
The Sun and Moon join up in Aquarius for the new moon. The trend is to connect with others who share our passions and interests. We may also explore solutions for our situations with a unique perspective. The problem may not get solved, but we develop a different understanding.
This new moon is the Chinese Lunar New Year which rotates through a 12 year cycle. This is the year of the rooster. Some call it the year of the cock or the chicken,
Mercury in Capricorn is forming a conjunction to Pluto. The two planets are square to Uranus in Aries which indirectly ties Mercury and Pluto into the Wedge between Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter. Working through these aspects helps with focus. We can spot a falsehood more quickly. On the other hand, we may be impulsive and that can get us into some trouble. Accidents are more likely when we get distracted and in a hurry.
Venus in Pisces is square to Saturn in Sagittarius. We may not feel romantic, but we are more caring and conscious about how others are interacting with us.
Mars is transiting over the Anaretic degree of Pisces. Tensions are higher than usual as Mars prepares to move into the sign (Aries) that it rules. Impulse control will not be a strong factor with this transition. We may not be very realistic with our expectations.
As mentioned earlier, Jupiter in Libra is forming a wedge pattern with Uranus in Aries and Saturn in Sagittarius. We may get huffy when others try to change our position on certain beliefs.
In general, this new moon chart is balanced. We should be able to choose our options as long as we don't try to sort through too many options. We need to set our priorities, stick to the options that feel most important at the time, then let go of the events that are not important. We can use this new moon to set the stage for the eclipses coming at us next month.
