The fresh ingress of the Sun and Moon into the sign of Pisces always brings a subtle, but significant change of focus for us. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac for western astrology, but is just as important as all the rest of the signs. This influence helps us to pull all of the past events of our lives together into a summarization so that we can determine how we want to regroup, and how we would like to change while moving forward. Some consider Pisces to be the "service" sign. How can we help others in need of assistance, but at the same time, we realize that we can draw strength in helping others by knowing our limitations and boundaries. Knowing that we want others to be successful in their own accomplishments by helping them to build their own talents and not becoming dependent upon us. Yet there is that other side of Pisces that encourages us to sacrifice a little of ourselves in the process.
Saturn is still in Aquarius, so there is an out of sign conjunction from the new moon to Saturn. This can feel like a weight of obligation. Either we feel guilty for not doing enough, or others burden us with guilt for not being enough. Take that moment of feeling to explore it. Is it valid? If not, then recognize that we have to let it go. If there is validity in the feeling, then what can we do in order to improve the situation?
Mercury in Aquarius is trine to Mars in Gemini, sextile to Jupiter in Aries, and square to Uranus in Taurus. Are we able to sort through all the messages out there? How well are we doing at actually finding the truth? We can be easily overwhelmed by too much stimulation, especially while Mercury is moving through Aquarius. The aspect to these three planets add even more onto us as we try to sort through information overload. Try not to shut down, but recognize that we have the option to research to discover the truth, if we choose.
Venus is on the last minutes of the Anaretic degree in Pisces, preparing to ingress Aries in about 50 minutes after the new moon's peak. This influence can cause us to feel jittery in anticipation of change. At the moment, Venus is sextile to Pluto, also in the Anaretic degree, in Capricorn. But Pluto will not be ingressing into Aquarius until March (2023). However, the fact that both planets are moving through this Anaretic degree of their respective signs can add to feelings of frustration. We can't quite put our finger in the reason for the feelings, so we get annoyed easily.
While, at first blush, we look at this chart as having a whole lot of heaviness to it, the reality is that there is just as much balance and optimistic perspective found in this new moon chart. The gender receptives are equally balanced, giving us just the right amount of confidence to make productive choices. Plus, there is a nice balance of placements in the four elements, helping us to be able to plan and organize with ease. Additionally, the three Qualities of the chart are also equal, helping us to look forward and back with awareness and openness. So, while the planets may have some challenging connections within this new moon chart, their sign placements open us up options that allow us to make better choices.
