Sun is Aries, 22° 25'
Moon is Aries, 22° 25'
The new moon in Aries emotionally taps into our impulsive side. We may be impatient and that could cause us to feel intolerant, as well. Especially considering that there are so many other planets connecting back to this new moon. Starting with Venus in Aries, conjunct with the new moon. We want to feel happy, and find the silver linings with events. Mars in Gemini is sextile to the new moon stellium, but there are other aspects from Mars that tie back into this new moon. Essentially, the Mars aspect to the new moon is a productive one. We can burn off energy with outlets that keep us distracted and constructive. Jupiter in Aquarius is sextile from the southern side of the chart, helping us to find outlets through friends. But the Pluto in Capricorn square to the new moon stellium can push us to react without fulling thinking through the situation. We may be triggered into a response that has nothing to do with what we are reacting to.
Mercury in Aries is transiting behind the Sun, far enough away to not be in the thick of the events, but has its own minor issues to contend with. We think too quickly. We may be overwhelmed with thoughts. While we may think we are shooting straight, we might be shooting at the wrong target, all together. Hopefully, the fact that Saturn in Aquarius is sextile to Mercury can help us to rein in the reactions to give us enough time to keep from responding with a glib response that may be more hurtful than it is worth. Our wit may be perceived as a weapon.
As mentioned earlier, Mars in Gemini is forming more aspects, such as a trine to Jupiter in Aquarius. There is a sensitive side to this connection in that we recognize that helping others brings a sense of happiness. But if we are doing it with the expectation of it giving us something more than it can, then we are likely to be disappointed. Mars is also forming a square to Neptune in Pisces. This adds to the unrealistic feelings we may have at the moment. Our energy and motives may be too scattered to make good use of these Mars contacts.
Saturn in Aquarius is forming a square to Uranus in Taurus. Self-doubt can creep in. We may be willing to take responsibility for someone else's actions, which is not the best option for anyone involved. Especially since Uranus is transiting over a critical degree in Taurus at the moment. While Taurus craves security and stability, Uranus has a way of creating trap doors that catch us off guard.
The sextile from Neptune in Pisces to Pluto in Capricorn is a "do over" from last fall. We are either ignoring the messages, or we are being deluded by others to ignore the facts. This time, Pluto is transiting over a critical degree in Capricorn, adding some intensity to the situations. The whole "Alternative Facts" concept is, well, very Neptunish. If we buy into that, we are in for a rather bumpy ride back to reality at some point.
The last Out of Bounds transit by the Moon from April 2 through 5. The next will be April 17 through 20. These are periods where we tend to feel most vulnerable to events that feel out of our control. Add in the fact that Mars is transiting OOB all month long. Any event that is triggered by Mars at this point is a sensitive response to Mars' transit through Gemini and Cancer. April 21 through 25 is the maximum OOB that Mars will transit. Just as Mars is moving over the anaretic degree of Gemini, and then moving over the critical degree of Cancer. After that, Mars will gradually move back towards the high declinations around May 24. We will just need to be aware, and alert. Our proactive reactions may be essential, until then.
Overall, we are feeling more determined in our objectives. We are creating new plans to change situations that, to this point, felt stifling. However, with only one planet in a water sign, we may need to rethink before acting impulsively. The water element signs tend to help us with intuition, and of course, the only planet in a water sign right now is Neptune. Not the most helpful with intuition that we can trust. Remember, decisions we make during this new moon are likely to impact us for the remainder of the year. So don't throw caution to the wind, just yet.
Meditation for the April 12th New Moon
Denial of what happens slows down the process of self-discovery.
