Sun is Taurus, 6° 27'
Moon is Taurus, 6° 27'

The new moon in Taurus is beginning to set the tone for the Sun's transit through Taurus. We tend to be more on guard about our possessions and are inclined to look for ways to save a buck on our everyday purchases. We may not do a good job of reaching out to others for help at this time, as we are focused more on our personal needs. We may need to be nudged into networking for resources. We need to be more open to the opportunities.

Mercury's retrograde is crossing over a critical degree of Aries. We may not be picking up on all the overt messages swirling around. Don't get discouraged. Just remember that our decisions to act need to be well-reasoned and justified, or others will misunderstand our actions, particulary while Mercury is conjunct with Uranus in Aries. Mercury and Uranus are trine to Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius. The structure that we would normally feel is not available this time. We need to rethink our concepts and our ideas. The old ways of handling situations will be challenged by others who perceive that there are flaws in the system. Mercury and Uranus are square to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. We may blurt out something that we will later regret. This aspect can cause some obssessive/compulsive behaviors to surface. We may feel annoyed by another's behaviors, or we may be the annoying ones, to others.

Venus, moving direct again, is crossing over the anaretic degree of Pisces. Our beliefs may have adapted or have been affirmed through the retrograde transit in Pisces to the point of rebirth or destruction of what we used to believe. This is a transitional period for us as we grasp the meaning of the changes. Venus is forming an (out of sign) sextile to Mars in Gemini. Once Venus is in Aries, the aspect will feel more productive. At the moment, it is harsh. Almost a sense of being a thoughtless interaction with our partners or others who want to force us to comply with their ideals. We will feel more in tune in a day or two. Hang in there. Venus is square to Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius. Emotionally, we are likely to feel frustrated or blocked. Avoid confrontation. Give it a day to two to cool down.

Jupiter retrograde in Libra continues to be square to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. Jupiter has moved out of the opposition aspect with Uranus, which helps us to feel less burdened by our obsessions. But there's still the deep rooted feeling that our beliefs are superior to others. We definitely need to keep an open mind to move beyond this perspective. Of course, if we feel this about others; others feel this about us, as well. Some one must be the one to offer the olive branch towards peace.

All in all, we may feel a little stuck in our ideology and in our behaviors. There is the potential for reflection on this feeling that can help us to grow past the old views into better, healthier ones. But it truly boils down to doing the necessary work to find a better solution. The new moon's planetary placements give us the opening to change, if we reach out toward making a difference for ourselves.
