Sun is Virgo, 21° 59'
Moon is Virgo, 21° 59'

This Virgo new moon is the last new moon of the season and the first new moon the next season, after the equinox, will be a spectacular Solar Eclipse that moves across the United States. For now, we are dealing with emotions tied to how we interact with others, specifically pertaining to our health, our work environment, and our hobbies or personal interests. We are working hard to keep our emotions under wraps in hopes that others won't be able to read our true feelings. The new moon is moving into an opposition with Neptune retrograde in Pisces while trine to Uranus retrograde in Taurus. Remember, Mars was here making similar connections about one month ago, and we were trying to work through these same connections that are radiating out from Neptune over to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn, and to Uranus. The messages are subtle, and we may not be able to discern the actual final lesson from these Outer (Generational) planets since this influence is not something that we normally get to encounter on a regular basis.

While we went through some similar outer planet sextile transits a year ago, the last time we encountered these three generational planets interacting in a similar fashion started in April 1942 lasting through 1944. At that time, Neptune was in Libra, Pluto was in Leo, and Uranus was in Gemini. Totally different signs and significantly different time of events. Nevertheless, the outcome was transformative, but not always in the most productive manner. As this new set of sextiles are formed between the three planets, one noted similarity might be the amount of propaganda that was being disseminated around the world during that time.

Mercury is still in retrograde motion in Virgo but is slowing to the station direct later today/tomorrow, depending on where we live. Essentially, the station will occur about 19 hours after the peak of the new moon. Mercury is at home in Virgo, and the station into direct motion will take some of the pressures off of us as we move through this shift from Mercury's retrograde transit that tends to muddy up our decisions and choices with each Mercury retrograde motion.

Venus ended its retrograde motion on September 4, and now we are moving back through the shade of that retrograde until the 7th of October. The positive factor is that now we get the chance to revisit some of the events and situations that set us back while Venus was in retrograde between July 23 to September 4. Today, Venus is sextile to Mars in Libra which helps us to find common ground with people we may not expect to align with. It may not pan out as we would hope though, since Venus is forming a square to Jupiter's retrograde motion in Taurus. Don't expect to impress others at this time, as Jupiter's expansion is being reined in. The best approach is to be humble in our abilities to make the best use of them. Finding the best way to blend these three planets to get the most out of them can make for a great start to the new moon, that is a stepping stone to the upcoming Libra Solar Eclipse.

As pointed out in the last full blue moon article with the sextiles from Pluto and Uranus to Neptune, these messages can be slow to unfold especially considering that these transit/sextiles move in and out of place over the period of several years. History happens, in the meantime.

This new moon is heavy with feminine receptive placements, meaning that they are mostly in Earth and Water Element signs. Actually, this new moon is heaviest with the Earth Element placements, and as such, we are being allowed, or more accurately, encouraged to take our time in changing our minds in the newness of this moon. We may be hesitant to change anything, even though we may need to, but not without considering why we need to change. Like the last full moon, this new moon is also filled with Mutable sign placements, that help us to adapt, once we figure out why we need to explore new options.

Meditation for the September 15th New Moon
A dragon does not always need to be slain, it can sometimes be befriended.
