Sun is Libra, 5° 20'
Moon is Libra, 5° 20'

The fall season is upon us in the northern half of the world, meaning that the days will keep get shorter and the nights will seem longer. The new moon in Libra encourages us to focus on peace and harmony as we try to calm our jangled nerves heading into the new season.

Venus rules over the sign of Libra, and together, Mercury and Venus have been pushing ahead into Libra for a couple of weeks now.

Mercury, moving a little faster than Venus has advanced beyond the conjunction to Venus, in Libra. Mercury in Libra helps us to "think" with balance and compromise in mind. Mercury will move into Scorpio on October 3. Then, October 31, Mercury will begin the retrograde motion. So we should work hard to wrap up any communications and contracts that Mercury is likely to impact, before October 31.

Venus, in Libra, tends to enhance our interpersonal style with others, and can help us in areas of talent and finances, although the latter is more from the Taurus side of Venus. We are encouraged to play fair. If we don't there can be consequences. Venus will move into Scorpio on October 8.

Even though Venus and Mercury at not really conjunct anymore, it may feel like it, as they both are forming square aspects to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. Venus, alone, is forming a square to Saturn in Capricorn. We may lack tact with others, especially verbal communication where the mind may not be quick enough to filter what the mouth utters. This is sometimes considered to be the truth aspect, but truth does not always need to be hurtful. The Venus square Saturn connection tends to feel as though we are being blocked from developing a relationship. On the other hand, it doesn't hurt to do the groundwork before heading into a relationship. Take the time to learn more about that person. Don't be afraid to do a bit of investigation by talking to friends and associates.

The other planet that Mercury and Venus are connecting with is Jupiter in Sagittarius. We may encounter a new person who stimulates our thinking in a different format. We may feel excitement from the challenge in learning new beliefs or concepts. Just remember to keep a balance of skepticism in the process.

Mars is still in Virgo, and we might need to pay a bit more attention to our health, at least until October 4, when Mars moves into Libra.

Jupiter in Sagittarius is still forming a square to Neptune retrograde in Pisces. That whole promise conundrum with less than positive outcomes. At least, now that Jupiter is direct, we have more clarity before making the promise.

Saturn stationed direct on September 18, after the full moon, and we will be working with information that is more concrete and less subjective. Saturn, moving forward again, will gradually head back into the conjunction with Pluto with the loose conjunction formed before the next new moon in Scorpio.

Overall, the element placements are low in the Water signs. We may feel emotionally sensitive with this new moon, especially when it comes to how we feel about ourselves. There is only one planet in a Fixed quality sign, so our endurance and fortitude may not feel solid. We may feel like we need to force our opinions onto others though, with seven planets in the Cardinal signs. But, without the fixed influence, we may simply be scattered in trying to start too many projects at once. This is a great time to journal to help us find a way to stay focused and on track. Another way to help with focus is to meditate. We can find our own strength and balance by focusing inward on our personal strengths.

Meditation for the September 28th New Moon
Nietzsche was fond of saying that acts of love take place beyond good and evil.
