The new moon of Sagittarius is a great time for starting a new adventure, or, if you are not up for the adventure, then a good time to start a new course to learn about something you have always wanted to explore. Signing up for a course or making travel plans that won't start until later, is also a good use of the new moon's force by establishing the intention. The new moon is square to Neptune in Pisces, and forming an inconjunct (quincunx) to Uranus retrograde in Taurus. Try to be alert, since Neptune has the potential to make us a bit hazy today, while Uranus might fling a surprise or two, in our direction.

Mercury is still moving direct today, in Capricorn, forming a sextile to Venus in Scorpio and a trine to Jupiter retrograde in Taurus, while Venus is opposing Jupiter. There is the potential to be charmed by another in ways that can benefit us. However, be careful not to be lulled into a false sense of security. There's a strong possibility that someone wants our attention so that they can get something else from us. Remember that Mercury will station retrograde on December 13. For the next few weeks, we are likely to experience troubles involving travel (cars included), communication breakdown, electronic meltdowns, and other types of Mercury ruled situations, from contract confusion to employment malfunctions. Mercury's retrograde transit forces us to rethink, regroup, and improvise on the fly.

Jupiter retrograde in Taurus is pushing back into a sextile to Saturn in Pisces. This may work to our advantage if we are ready to start on a new project that puts a new spin on an old idea. The key is to do the research before committing or investing in something that isn't ready to be presented to the world.

Overall, we are lacking the Air Sign Element with this new moon. We have plenty of Fire, Earth and Water Sign placements, that help us to organize and plan for the future, but we may misinterpret situations or messages in ways that become a detriment to us in the future. We may be too enthusiastic to an opportunity only to realize later that we have taken on more than we can afford to give. We can express interest without committing at this time. Best to wait until the full moon so that we can explore the options without the burden of responsibility.
