Sun is Gemini, 19° 47'
Moon is Gemini, 19° 47'

It is Solar Eclipse time over North America this year. Generally in the morning at dawn. Viewers in parts of the eastern United States and northern Alaska will see a partial solar eclipse on June 10, along with much of Canada and parts of the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and northern Africa. In the United States, the partial eclipse will be visible along parts of the Southeast, Northeast, Midwest, and in Northern Alaska. In many of these locations, the eclipse will occur before, during, and shortly after sunrise. This means that viewers will need to get a clear view of the horizon during sunrise in order to see the eclipse, as noted by NASA.

This is a partial eclipse known as an annular eclipse where the moon's transit between the earth and the sun will provide a ring of fire eclipse. It is crucial that observers wear quality protective eye wear, not sun glasses as they will not protect the eyes from damage when viewing a solar eclipse. There has been discussion online that this eclipse also occurred in 1931 on April 19, which is true, but there have been many subsequent events between then and now, such as 1949, 1967, 1985 and 2003. As you can see, the eclipse within a series will occur approximately every 18 years until it has reached the end of that series, and then a new saros series will take over. The last eclipse of this series will be in the year 3049.

This eclipse belongs to the saros series 147, which originated in 1624 on October 12, meaning that the first chart of this eclipse rules over the entire series, similar to a natal chart for a person. October 12 in 1624 had the eclipse occurring in Libra at 19 degrees, and belongs to the 5th nodal family of the eclipses, originating from the north. The influence of the originating eclipse brings with it a sense of fair play and a desire for social justice. Social justice in 1624 was so vastly different than it will be in 2021. Don't assume that it will bring up old norms, but instead will adapt to the current times.

The eclipse today is occurring in Gemini, accentuating a desire to change the the norms. The key is through intellectual and verbal communication. This eclipse may also bring up some feelings of depression by not being able to change situations as quickly as we would like. At the time of this eclipse, Mercury in retrograde is conjunct to the Sun and Moon while also forming a square to Neptune in Pisces. We might become deceived if we believe everything that we are told or read online. It is up to us to do the necessary research to ensure that we are not passing along false information. Neptune's interaction, along with Mercury's retrograde motion can trip us up by causing us to have too much faith in our family and friends.

Venus is in Cancer forming a sextile to Uranus in Taurus. We may feel concern for our well-being, and the well-being of our loved ones. But at the same time, we have a strong desire to play. We want to gather with family and friends to express our common interests. A great day for a reunion of some sort, even if that means forming a tele-conference to see/talk with everyone at once.

Mars in Cancer is transiting over the last degree, known as the anaretic degree. This transit tends to feel unstable for us. It tends to intensify Cancer's natural secretive tendencies. Question being, who is the one holding the secrets? Mars is opposing Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. Tempers may flare as our interactions with others are not panning out as we would hope. Getting angry may imply that we want the control, or that we are tired of someone trying to control us.

Jupiter in Pisces (at the moment) actually feels refreshing, at the moment. However, we may tend to want to live in a fantasy, rather than confront the realities. Helping others who may need some assistance tends to be a good use of Jupiter's transit through Pisces.

Saturn's retrograde in Aquarius is forming a square to Uranus in Taurus. Our social networks may be breaking apart as we begin to discover that some of our associations are not what we had hoped them to be. Don't assume that this is something that we need to fix. It may simply be time to release ourselves of these obligations until something better for us comes along. Find other releases for our spare time, until that happens.

Neptune and Pluto are interacting again. Both are busily tearing apart and rebuilding. Never as we envision them, but doing what needs to be done so that we can focus on new situations in our lives.

The Fire sign placements are missing from this chart, meaning that anyone can lead, but there may not be many followers on the path. The majority of the planets are in Air and Water signs, and this can brew up some really interesting storms for us to weather through. Generally, plan for the unexpected, but don't quit planning just because there may be some issues to contend with. Instead, determine the basic needs, and then determine what are the additional essentials.
