The first Full Moon of 2026 is frequently called the Wolf Moon because, in the coldest times of winter (northern hemisphere), the wolves would risk getting closer to humans in an attempt to find scraps of food. The Moon in Cancer is opposing the Sun in Capricorn, encouraging us to take on more responsibilities while emotionally thinking back on times when we were most vulnerable. The Sun and Moon are transiting over a critical degree today, causing us to feel more sensitive about our "lot in life." We may be more tenacious than usual, and potentially selfish, putting us at risk of jeopardizing our reputation. Take a moment to reflect on these desires rather than accepting them as inevitable. Feeling is "one thing," while acting on them is another.

The Sun in Capricorn is in a conjunction stellium with Venus and Mars which is opposing the Moon. This conjunction/opposition may not present us in the best light. We may be overly optimistic while pushing forward with a more than assertive manner. We may think we have the upper hand on the situation, but may learn, soon enough, that our "presentation" is not well received, after all.

Mercury in Capricorn is forming an out of sign square to Neptune in Pisces. While the out of sign connection will reduce the harshness of this aspect, still, we may have some trouble staying focused in the here and now. Don't be too quick to believe what we are being told today and don't be the spreader of misinformation.

Saturn and Neptune in Pisces are sextile to Uranus retrograde in Taurus indicating that there is a strong possibility of having our perceptions changed in unusual ways. The reality may become fantasy, or the fantasy may become reality, but, regardless, this is a time to keep an open mind while searching for factual information to confirm or challenge the data that we stumble over during this full moon.

Pluto's connections from Aquarius to Neptune and Uranus are watered down. Any transformations or transitions that we perceive as inevitable, are probably not as long-term as we believe them to be. They are more for our awareness, than anything else, at this point in time. Think of them as a window to see potential options that won't tie us down for too long.
