Full Moon
in: Gemini 13° December 4, 2025 @ 11:14 pm GMT December 4, 2025 @ 03:14 pm PST -8
Sun is Sagittarius, 13° 04'
Moon is Gemini, 13° 04' The Cold Full Moon of December is the final full moon of the calendar year. It is also considered to be a Supermoon, indicating that it will appear to be larger, especially on the horizon because it is orbiting closer to the earth today. The moon's affects are likely to be felt more strongly, especially with high tides and other water related events. Those of us more naturally attuned to the moon's influences are also likely to respond, in kind, to this supermoon event. Heading into winter season (northern hemisphere), we are experiencing the Gemini Moon, which tends to be optimistic and resourceful in the early parts of December. The Sun in Sagittarius can be restless as we seek out ways to expand knowledge or new opportunities. This can also be a time of exploring belief systems. We may turn a blind eye to past experiences, with the belief that they will not be useful for our current situations. The key to avoiding poor judgment during this full moon is to follow up with valid research. Not research that merely confirms our personal bias, but the kind that opens us to the realities, while remembering that truth comes in many forms, and most truths overlap lies in an attempt to weave a narrative that both deceives and validates at the same time. It is a time of knowing our own convictions and values within these narratives in order to find and resolve our personal involvements within the situation. We will need to understand our roles of involvement, accept and forgive ourselves in order to accept and forgive others as we head into the holiday season that so frequently pulls at our heart strings, mulls our memories, and hopefully, helps us to reflect on behaviors that no longer serve us in a good way. The full moon aspect is on its own this time, with no other aspects directly tied to it. Mercury in Scorpio, once again transiting direct motion, is in a grand trine to Jupiter retrograde in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces. The Water grand trine is the most fluid of the four elements. We tend to be more emotional in that we are empathetic at the same time that we are sympathetic to those around us. We absorb the feelings of others while trying to live on our own path. It carries a promise of better understanding and caring, both for others as well as ourselves. Venus in Sagittarius is pulling out of a loose sextile to Pluto in Aquarius. We might impulsively make some decisions about money that ultimately seem out of line with our usual choices. But, if we watch it closely, we are more likely to find some benefits that were not expected. Personal relationships might feel as though there is a shift of alliance. Learning that our values don't align is the likely culprit. We are feeling more comfortable with establishing a new boundary. Mars in Sagittarius is forming it's own type of "triangle" pattern with Saturn and Jupiter, but from a completely different angle. Mars is inconjunct to Jupiter retrograde in Cancer, while square to Saturn in Pisces. The characteristics from this aspect pattern are disjointed, challenging, and do not provide the easy flow of influence that the grand trine creates. Our vitality and energy are likely to feel off kilter. There is a strong possibility that we could experience an illness that causes us to feel tired or even confused during and around this full moon. Take note, that if we are feeling under the weather today, it is best not to just power through the day. Instead, take extra care to nurture and nourish our body so that we can ultimately recover more quickly. Uranus retrograde in Taurus, Neptune retrograde in Pisces and Pluto in Aquarius are still forming the sextiles and trine aspects that have been featured most of the year. However, the power dynamic that we experienced while Neptune was in Aries, and Uranus was in Gemini has been diminished. The out of sign aspects no longer carry the weight, especially while two of the three planets are retrograde motioning. Those who were benefiting from the aspects are finding that they have to rethink their strategies, as alliances that felt strong, earlier in the year, are now crumbling as the veil is being pulled back. All in all, this full moon has both productive features as well as non-productive facets that we will need to adjust as necessary to accomplish our agendas. Although the planet placements in the receptive signs are balanced, this chart is low on Earth element placements, and low on Cardinal quality placements, meaning that our energy and determination may not carry us through without twice as much effort. Factor in that Mars is simply not able to withstand the stressors because of the challenging aspects today. One positive that we can use to our advantage are the six planets in Mutable signs, that, if used effectively, can give us the flexibility to adjust quickly. Just be careful not to over pivot to the point of totally losing momentum. It is a great day to rest, but not totally give in. Meditation for the December 4th Full Moon
Relinquishing power may at certain times be the most powerful thing one can do.
