Lunar Eclipse
in: Virgo 23° March 14, 2025 @ 06:54 am GMT March 13, 2025 @ 11:54 pm PDT -7
Sun is Pisces, 23° 56'
Moon is Virgo, 23° 56' Today's full moon, aka the Worm Moon, in Virgo is a Lunar Eclipse. It will be a total eclipse meaning that the moon is likely to change color to a ruddish orange hue for a short period of time. The eclipse is from the Lunar Saros Series 123, which originated on August 22, 1087 and from the 9th nodal family that originated from the southern hemisphere. The Moon was transiting through Aquarius in the third decan for the first eclipse of the series. This current Lunar Eclipse will be mostly visible at night from the Americas around midnight, depending on which timezone one lives. The Sun in Pisces helps us to tune into the needs of others, while the Moon in Virgo gives us the ability to emotionally help others without worrying about our own needs. Unfortunately, we may expend too much of our own energy and resources to our own detriment, if we are not careful. The signs of Virgo and Pisces are not strong in finding balance or self care. So it can help to keep this in mind. Thankfully, the Sun is conjunct with Saturn, helping us to use caution in our attempts to help. This Lunar Eclipse is forming a wedge pattern aspect to Uranus in Taurus. Let's not be surprised if our intentions become tangled with confusion. Finding proactive solutions helps us to get the situations back on track. This can be helped along with the trine to Mars in Cancer. For those of us in employment transition, now is the best time to start looking at options outside of our experience. We may need to “reeducate” ourselves for a quick reboost in the career department. How to use this Lunar Eclipse to your advantage? Know your personal chart and find where the eclipse is occurring within it. Mercury will be stationing into retrograde motion in a few hours, in the sign of Aries. We should rethink how we approach others with our tone and attitude. Our efforts to communicate our ideas may get distorted and undermined if we don't approach with caution. Mercury is conjunct to Venus in Aries, which is already transiting retrograde motion. Together, they have the potential to set us back, forcing us to rebuild what we thought we had solidly set into motion. Thankfully, Aries can help us rebuild better, if we don't give up hope. We have the options, even though, in the immediate moment, it may not feel like we have any hope to look forward with. The Venus and Mercury conjunction are sextile to Jupiter in Gemini. Jupiter's main goal seems to expand without prejudice or even much consideration. The issue can be that it can expand on the difficulties, causing us to lose grasp of our options. So, while Jupiter is frequently considered the Planet of Luck, well... bad luck is also a form of luck. The hope is that we don't lose sight of our goals while Venus and Mercury transit in their respective retrograde motions. Mercury's retrograde motion will end on April 9, while Venus' retrograde motion will end on April 13. Neptune is still moving forward through the anaretic degree of Pisces. Sleep patterns may feel erratic and our outlook on life may feel fraught with uncertainty. This is normal. Not pleasant, but normal as Neptune prepares to ingress Aries at the end of March. The sextile from Neptune in Pisces to Pluto in Aquarius is pushing on us to rethink our points of view. When Neptune actually ingresses Aries, the view will become a bit more clear. Well, okay correction, as clear as Neptune can be. All in all, this Lunar Eclipse is not perfect, but there are some positive placements that can give us some insight on the path we should be getting on. If our world recently felt shaky, that's the Eclipses talking to us. But the eclipse chart today has a decent balance of masculine and feminine receptive placements. A fairly decent balance of Element placements, and even a good balance of Modality placements. All in all, we can use those to our advantage and advancement. Yes, changing gears will be required in order to continue to move forward. We may need to stop looking back at what we once had, and focus on what we can change within the current moment. Check out the home page to read about the upcoming Equinox and how that can impact us as it falls between the two eclipses. Meditation for the March 14th Lunar Eclipse
We are at once the same -- and worlds apart.
