Lunar Living Astrology

Today's full moon is a penumbral lunar eclipse, saros series 113 that originated from the south and belongs to the 8th Nodal family. Penumbral is very difficult to discern because the full shadow effect is not yet (or no longer) in effect. Penumbral lunar eclipses occur very early in the series or very late in the series, and simply are not as spectacular to watch. The influence is still there, but the observation is less than exciting. If the night skies are clear enough, we might be able to see a slight darkening of the moon during the eclipse. The eclipse will commence over Australia and Eastern Asia, moving over the Americas, and setting over the western portions of Europe and Africa. No special eyewear necessary as the Earth is aligned between the Sun and the Moon and we are not looking directly at the Sun in order to see the eclipse.

The Sun in Aries is opposing the Moon in Libra, and one of the native descriptions of this full moon is the Worm moon, which seems so fitting for the spring activity in the northern hemisphere. The full moon is forming a wedge aspect pattern to Pluto in Aquarius. Although we may struggle with feelings involving interpersonal relationships, we have the ability to bounce back more easily if we take the time to think about the situation and how we can improve our perspective in a more positive way.

Mercury is moving more quickly now through Aries and will be stationing retrograde in the latter portion of Aries on April 1, 2024. Prepping ourselves, by planning ahead, can help minimize some of the Mercury Retrograde effects. Between now and then, we are using our brains to try to understand the mysteries of life, as we know it. Experiences and observations seem to be our best teachers.

Venus in Pisces is conjunct to Saturn in Pisces, while forming sextiles to Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus. Our fantasies of love or wealth may be exaggerated at this time. Now is a great time to be open to opportunities, while, at the same time, recognizing that there are going to be restrictions and limitations. Our natural talents can be honed and improved during this full moon's eclipse.

Mars, now in Pisces, may have our energies scattered in ways that feel uncomfortable. It's a great time to explore new ideas, or ideas that you have never tried before, involving your health and well being.

Jupiter and Uranus, as mentioned earlier, are conjunct in Taurus, while sextile to Venus and Saturn in Pisces. Suddenly, seemingly, out of nowhere, new options get presented to us. Not always for our betterment, either. We need to be objective, and subjective, at the same time, to make the best use of these options.

All in all, this eclipse opens us up to new projects. We may encounter proposals that we may never have considered viable in the past. With the eclipse always comes change. Change has both positive and negative aspects for us, and we need to make choices that we may not, normally, want to consider. This full moon chart can help us to make wise decisions, since it is pretty well balanced in all the important qualities of life. We have the ability to both live, in the here and now, in the future, and in the past, to get the best choices possible. But, remember, we need to step outside of the fantasy, in order to make the right decision. With wisdom, we either look for a good way to resolve problems, or the safest way possible to dissolve them.
