Today's new moon in Capricorn is held together in a strong stellium of conjunctions, plus trines and sextiles. This should help us to focus on specifics and encourage us to establish a plan. At the very least, we are motivated toward changeable behaviors and actions. The Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars are all close enough together to entangle our thoughts, perceptions, feelings and activities in a way that we can get them aligned enough to send them all the same direction. While these four planets are close enough to the Aquarius cusp to form a conjunct with Venus and Pluto, they carry less weight by slopping over into Aquarius. So, we will keep the Venus and Pluto conjunction separate.

Today could also be about how we manage our finances, and whether we risk more than we can afford. The whole interaction of Venus with Pluto adds intensity, regardless of the situation.

We don't feel comfortable enough to open up to new ideas, and are likely to shut down in an effort to protect ourselves from the events happening around us. Granted, today is not about changing or starting over. Today's new moon is highlighting ways to keep our status quo. We are finding our strengths by looking inward and rewarding our virtues so that we can move forward knowing that we are not without the things that we need the most in difficult times. Our wisdom from the past is the knowledge we need to carry us forward. We develop our strength from the faith we have created over time, and from our determination to endure any difficulty if it will help us to achieve our goals for the future.
