The Sun and Moon joining up in the later degrees of a sign, can feel like the last hurrah, at least psychologically, because it is a time of finishing up a project, or a moment of realizing that change is inevitable. The new moon in Pisces encourages us to find emotional balance. The new moon in the third decan of Pisces is influenced by Mercury. We find this balance by learning, teaching, communicating productively, or traveling to new places. The new moon is sextile to Uranus in Taurus, so sudden awareness or surprises should be factored into the day.

Mercury retrograde is conjunct with Mars in Pisces. Intuition is a maintain of Mercury in Pisces, but there's always a catch. Intuition should not be confused as wisdom. Mars' connection is reminding us that we can get assertive, at times. Now is a great time to explore and expand our options by finding new ways of channeling our frustrations. What we learn may be the beginning of new, more useful habits that we can use to lower our stress levels. Just remember that Mercury's retrograde is in effect until March 20. Mars is trine to Jupiter in Cancer. Jupiter has the potential to expand on the Mars in Pisces experiences. Watch the temper outbursts as they are likely to be unhealthy even though it may, in the moment, feel like a release.

Venus in Aries is square to Jupiter in Cancer. Venus in Aries can become a double edged sword. The spontaneous reactions can come across as excitement or aggression. Finding ways to subvert that reaction in the immediacy will, in time, become a form of super power, that allows us to explore new ideas without jeopardizing our existing talents.

Saturn and Neptune are completely entrenched in Aries now, while sextile to Pluto in Aquarius. The tensions have shifted from the Pisces concerns over to Aries, as we adjust to these new Aries challenges. The struggles that we experience will be different now. Some say this is a new era of character building, but in reality, we are likely to bounce back and forth between despair and determination. The resilience that we find will come from adapting to the challenges and finding a new way of coping. Most of us are still adjusting to life after the recent eclipses. This is normal, yet will still feel unnerving.

The comforting factor of this new moon is that the planets are spread out a bit more, giving us the ability to confront and adapt at the same time. Our ability to step into new roles and out of old roles will feel more fluid during this new moon.
