Sun is Virgo, 18° 26'
Moon is Virgo, 18° 26' For a many of us, especially in the United States, we remember waking up to the attacks and attempted attacks on some of the most iconic buildings in the United States, on this day, 25 years ago. Many innocent people died that day, and many heroes died or were injured in their attempts to save lives. The stories by witnesses almost feel insufficient after all this time, as we still wrestle with the memories of the events that unfolded on the morning of September 11, 2001. A sense of Post Traumatic Stress remains for some of those who survived and those who witnessed the events, whether in person or on television. It was a tragic event that has shaped us into where we are today. In Memory. In many ways, this Virgo new moon is a fresh start. The eclipse season knocked us loose from some old, outdated, ideals, and now we are ready to find a new start on something. The Sun's transit through Virgo can highlight situations involving medical outcomes to co-worker environments. We might begin to rethink our approach to situations that have befuddled us in the past. Virgo has two sides to evaluating situations. There's a laser-focused side, and an obsessed side. Both can be a bit extreme, and mostly a time waste of our day. It is best to set aside a time of focus, and stick to it, then put it aside to accomplish other tasks for the day. The key is to recognize that we won't solve the problem in a day. Write down the ideas that pop up, but don't assume these are the solution, but merely the start. Sleep on it, then come back to it tomorrow for the next day's perspective and hopefully, more new ideas. The new moon is sextile to Mars in Cancer. This definitely helps us to find useful activities that can revitalize our attention. New outlets bring new fun, if we allow ourselves to explore the options they can bring. Mercury, on the cusp of Libra it tied into a Grand Trine/Kite pattern that definitely opens up our minds. Quick trips to new areas for exploration purposes is a great learning option. It doesn't even need to involve a car. A bus trip, or train, or even a bicycle. The key is to visit a location we have never seen or had time to explore. Mercury is connected to Uranus retrograde in Gemini, Neptune retrograde in Aries, and Pluto retrograde in Aquarius. The outlet for this kite is through Neptune in Aries. Leading us to new awareness by confronting any confusion that has been holding us back. Time to release any past mistakes by either atoning, apologizing, or accepting that the mistake/s was/were not useful to where we want to go with our future. Owning our role will set the stage. Just be warned, that forgiveness may not be given to our apologies. Let that part slide. Don't perseverate or overthink on the whys of that part, or we will get bogged down on the past, which we are attempting to grow through, rather than hold on. This is all about owning then releasing, not owning and slogging through. We can't change our perspective if we stay in the old mind set. Venus, on the cusp of Scorpio, is square to Pluto retrograde in Aquarius. This could be a bit more challenging, as we are encouraged to cut ties to unhealthy or out-dated behaviors, but we don't know that we have the stamina to do it. Often, we are leaning on these old behaviors as a crutch or coping mechanism. To release that means we will need to find new coping mechanisms, and that realization can feel rather scary. Time to explore our options. Jupiter in Leo is trine to Saturn retrograde in Aries. This may be a good time to learn new skills, actually. Jupiter in Leo expands on our natural abilities, and Saturn's retrograde motion in Aries can provide us the determination and intuition to find new options that can benefit us. For each of us, the opportunities are geared to our own special nature. We might want to pick up a used banjo to learn to play, or we might learn how to weld. The key is to expand on our own talents in a way that gives us fulfillment and pleasure. It is not so much about becoming proficient as it is about expanding and exploring new outlets for emotional pleasure. The ability to explore without full on commitment can open new doors. This chart is balanced enough to give us options and opinions that suit our personal needs for the day and for weeks ahead. This new moon is not going to change us over night. It will start us on a new journey that we can easily explore without feeling forced into making a decision right away. There are six planets located in Fire and Air Elements that helps us to feel independent and self sufficient. There are four planets in Cardinal Quality signs that also help us to feel confident in our choices. So we can use these planetary placements to our benefit over the next few weeks and enjoy the perks that we are receiving from this Virgo new moon. Meditation for the September 11th New Moon
