Sun is Libra, 17° 22'
Moon is Libra, 17° 22' Please note: The information on this site is NOT created with Artificial Intelligence. This new moon in Libra meets us with some weighty influences that could cause us to rethink where we want to proceed based on promises made but were never delivered. The opposition of the new moon with Saturn retrograde in Aries, we are starting to realize that the promises are hollow at this point. So what do we do when we realize we have made plans based on those undelivered promises? Well, some of us will wait a little longer in hopes. Others of us will take advantage of this new moon to shift direction. Sometimes, starting over is the best option. Not always, but it can be a valid option that reset us in a way that allows us to regroup. It takes a special type of courage to start over. Admitting that the current situation will turn into a crash and burn is certainly not an easy admission. Too many concessions, over time, do not change a wrong turn into a blessing. The best thing about Libra new moons is that they give us the courage to find a new path. We can see the promises from a new light, a different vantage, and Libra is also about trust in finding support from others. While starting over can be difficult, it also provides a sense of freedom from restraints that are holding us back. The rules change for us when we let go of the old expectations. The key to this Libra moon is to not blame others. That can be the difficult factor, because, in truth, we need support from others. It may not be so easy to be trusted by others, if we blame anyone except ourselves. Or, don't blame anyone, or even ourselves. Just regroup, refuse to lay blame, but recognize that growth and acceptance will be easier now, once we let go of the ineffective past that has been holding us back. Can't remember who said this, but “success comes from loving the process and finding happiness in the daily steps.” It becomes easier to succeed if we establish our own goals based on our own best interests in mind. People who support us along the way is the added Libra benefit. Mercury is pushing hard in Scorpio in preparation for the retrograde transit later this month. Mercury is inconjunct to Saturn retrograde in Aries. We are needing to explore our logic. Has our logic been sound and useful in the past few months? If we have been frustrated more than usual, now is a good time to do some research as to why we are struggling. It is not merely a matter of self-reflection. It is more important to evaluate who we have been listening to for advice, and review the effectiveness of that advice. Others give advice based on what is best for themselves, and not based on what is best for others. We can't assume that just because we like the advice, or the advisor, means that it is sound for our personal needs and security. Time to prepare for Mercury's retrograde station on October 24! Venus in Scorpio is currently transiting retrograde since October 3 and will return to Libra on October 25. Venus retrograde is inconjunct to Uranus retrograde in Gemini. Sudden shifts are to be expected. Shifts that cause discomfort are the most likely to be encountered from this aspect. Venus retrograde is in a T-square with Mars in Leo and Pluto retrograde in Aquarius. More challenges. Venus' transits typically impact our relationships and our financial situation. It can also impact our reliance on our personal talents that we use to help us manage our emotional regulations, such as strumming a guitar to release our pent up frustrations, or singing a tune to calm our nerves. The aspects of our lives that were, until now, seeming to be working just fine, may be forcing us to acknowledge that progress has slowed. Opposing the T-square is a Cradle aspect between Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, Neptune retrograde in Aries, Uranus retrograde in Gemini, and Mars in Leo. While most of the planets are retrograde, they can be used collectively to find new outlets. Look for the tension we are experiencing from Pluto and Mars for the unhealthy influences that we need to release, while also exploring the ways we can improve our situation through changes in behavior, or building a better way to relieve our current obstacles through reflection and self-awareness. Overall, we are being pushed into a sense of discomfort either because of past complacency, arrogance of assumptions, or even a fear of change. There are way too many externally influencing planets in this chart that are needling us. Many of these planets are in Fixed signs, indicating that our refusal to acknowledge, accept, or change is likely to present us with a desire to hide rather than confront. Adapting will feel uncomfortable while we want to hope for the best rather than accept that with all these retrograde transits, it is truly time for us to make some introspective changes. As an aside, if you find any clear evening skies around this October 10 new moon, it is a great opportunity for viewing the Milky Way core before it makes its seasonal disappearance.
