New Moon
in: Scorpio 28° November 20, 2025 @ 06:47 am GMT November 19, 2025 @ 10:47 pm PST -8
Sun is Scorpio, 28° 12'
Moon is Scorpio, 28° 12' This new moon in Scorpio is likely to provide some new awareness that we can use to our advantage and advancement in the near future. The traits that are more obvious with the new moon in Scorpio typically involve our desire to keep our secrets hidden from others. When Scorpio is involved, there is always the potential for jealousy and vindictive attitudes but, those don't necessarily need to define our behaviors. Having the feelings does not equate to actions. We all have those feelings from time to time, however, we don't need to voice those feelings to others, nor do we need to act on those feelings. We always have options to rethink and respond with less harsh opinions in order put a more positive spin on our day. The Scorpio influence is not very open minded on some topics, yet, on other subjects, can appear to be very non-biased and accepting of attitudes that are typically opposite of social norms. In other words, Scorpio tinged events are way more complex than many other signs of the zodiac. In the event no one has noticed, Mercury has been moving retrograde since November 9 and it just moved back into Scorpio on November 19, pushing it into a conjunction with the new moon today. Mercury will station direct (end the retrograde motion) on November 29. The interesting feature of Mercury's retrograde in Scorpio is the way that it influences our thinking. It provides insight that we normally would not observe. Added to the new moon's influences, we are likely to have a lot to think about. The most intriguing facet of this new moon is the Kite aspect pattern from Mercury and the new moon to Saturn retrograde and Neptune retrograde in Pisces, Jupiter retrograde in Cancer, along with the opposition to Uranus retrograde that just moved back into Taurus. Blending all these placements into our lives today is likely to be very revealing on multiple levels. Since five of the seven placement are retrograde, it won't be like a "standard" kite aspect. That's not to say it will have a negative influence, but more like an "ah-ha" point in our lives. That ah-ha will be different for each and every one of us. For some of us, we will be sent on emotional journeys, while others will end up on an intellectual, or belief system exploration. Some of us will actually end up traveling to explore the true meanings behind the discoveries that we will encounter. Regardless, we need to keep in mind that our lessons are for our personal enhancement during this new moon. We won't be expected to share the lessons with others. At least, not right now. The almost mystic rectangle between the new moon with Mercury conjunction, Pluto in Aquarius, Uranus retrograde in Taurus and Jupiter retrograde in Cancer will be less profound since Pluto is "out of sign" in this one. The trines and sextiles will not overcome the kite's influences and will only add to the overall "awakening" that the kite will put in front of us to learn more about. Want to also add the fact that, on November 22, Pluto will finally end the Out of Bounds (OOB) transit it has been on since August 29 of this year. Pluto, especially when transiting direct during an Out of Bounds region of the declinations, will be quite transformative. For a time-frame of perspective, Pluto was retrograde when it passed in to the OOB region on August 29. Pluto stationed direct on October 14th while still OOB. October 14 to now has been the most transformative period that can typically cause us to also feel out of control. It will be winding down for us in a day or two. This can be especially true for those of us who have natal planetary placements that were directly aspected by Pluto's transit during that time. Overall, this new moon will likely be positive, but not without various roadblocks. The new moon's planetary receptive placements have only two masculine placements relative to eight feminine placements. There are seven placements in the water element signs, with only one placement each in air, earth and fire. There are six placements in the fixed qualities signs, meaning that we are likely to feel stuck, or obstinate, or both, until we find a way to admit that we need some help. Let's just say that finding options that work best for us in order to grow wiser and feel more satisfied will involve using our higher order thinking processes, i.e. active learning, real world problem solving, creativity, analysis, and evaluation.
