This solar eclipse is a partial originating from the Saros Series 149 August 21, 1664 belonging to the 9th Nodal Eclipse from the Northern Hemisphere. Visibility of the eclipse can be viewed from the northeastern tip of USA, eastern region of Canada and Greenland, then over the Arctic and into northwestern Russia. Will also be visible from portions of northwestern Africa and parts of Europe. Have included an eclipse map at the bottom of this piece showing the originating eclipse (green) and this eclipse (red). Rose Lineman, in the “Eclipse Interpretation Manual,” describes the original saros 149 eclipse as having a natural sense of power, self confidence that is bold without arrogance. She describes the first decan Aries Solar Eclipses as being dynamic with initiative, hence we should push to change for the better, but, that may not be the main focus for many people who see this opportunity as a means to make self advancements at the cost of others.

Mercury's retrograde motion in Aries is preparing to regress into Pisces. The sextile to Pluto in Aquarius helps us to quickly see into the heart of a matter, but we may be so focused on the minutia, that we miss the larger meaning of the situation. Once Mercury is in Pisces, Neptune is likely to make the messages even more cloudy. Mercury's retrograde ends on April 7.

Venus, in Pisces, is also motioning retrograde until April 13. Venus is conjunct to Neptune, in Pisces, and we are wrestling with finances and relationships that provide no solid answers to what we should do next. Venus is pushing backwards into a conjunction with Saturn, also in Pisces, and let's just say that our natural talents would normally help us out here, but, at the moment, no one seems to care how much talent we bring with us. Add in the fact that Saturn and Venus are sextile to Uranus in Taurus. Shifts may happen suddenly, and more forcefully than we are accustomed. This is truly a time of getting back to the basics that give us a solid foundation. We may need to cut back on expenses, sell prized possessions for way less than they are worth, or even take on one more menial job to make ends meet. It's not easy to think that now, especially when we thought we were doing really well, until now.

Mars in Cancer is trine to Saturn in Pisces and also sextile to Uranus in Taurus. Thankfully, this helps us to find the motivation we need to restart or rebrand a project that has stalled out over the past few months. While our energy levels as still a bit fried, since Mars does not work well in Cancer, by the middle of April our vitality is likely to turn around. Once Mars moves into Leo, we should start to feel more productive, start to sleep a bit better, and generally feel more optimistic.

But, for now, the solar eclipse is forcing us to rethink our approach on our current situations. Generally, and thankfully, the planetary placements in this chart are quite balanced. Where we might feel out of sorts is through the low number of Earth Elements that would normally ground us to make solid decisions. However, where we find solace will be in our ability to adapt to changes. Find the resolve to let the past go, so that hope for the future can guide us to new, and potentially better options. We should not self flagellate over mistakes or missed opportunities. While rumination is common while Mercury is motioning retrograde, we need to limit that and do the necessary research to find the best options.
