Sun is Aries, 15° 17'
Moon is Aries, 15° 17'
The Aries new moon is the joining of the sun and moon half way through the sign of Aries. This portion of Aries is sub-ruled by the Sun, adding a sense of power and initiation to the transit. While we may be feeling motivated, we may be running into roadblocks, as the new moon is waxing into a square to Saturn in Capricorn. This is the only major aspect to the new moon, that pushes us to rethink our objectives. Watch out for temper flares, as they will be non-productive.
Mercury is moving through the retrograde's shadow from last month, and conjunct to Neptune in Pisces. The conjunction is sextile to Saturn in Capricorn. This can help us to think outside of the box when we hit those new moon roadblocks. On the other hand, with this, we may not be thinking rationally or with clarity. Don't assume that the "re-think" will be the best option for the situation, simply a different perspective that may, or may not, work.
Venus is moving through Pisces with no major aspects at this time. We may not be making the best, and most appropriate choices with our love and/or our finances. But, for now, we are enjoying ourselves, and that may be the more important activity with this transit.
Mars is now in Gemini. There can be a lot of nervous energy associated with this transit. Sometimes it is best to just shelve our expectations, and go through the motions. We may not find our best outlet, but this is a great time to keep practicing and perfecting the actions.
Jupiter in Sagittarius is slowing down in preparation for a retrograde station on April 10. No worries, as this will add to our patience and persistence, at least for now.
Saturn continues to move into the conjunction with Pluto. Although it is not close enough yet to impact the square with the new moon, there are still some internal battles that we will need to consider. Nothing to lose sleep over, by any means. The struggle is to release and change out-dated behaviors that no longer assist us. It's a slow process. The significance is to keep striving for a healthier outcome in our actions. Those working through addictions can find added encouragement with this aspect.
Uranus is full-on in the sign of Taurus, moving into the first degree, and this transit is not for the faint of heart. The key is to learn restraint in dealing with money and personal security. Uranus has a way of blowing us out of the water in these Taurus ruled areas. If you want to get a better sense of what Uranus in Taurus can do to us, watch or read "The Grapes of Wrath." As in the past, Uranus seems to set the stages as it transits the latter portion of Aries (which we are already witnessing with climate change scenarios). Once Uranus moves into Taurus, we start getting pushed even more into starting to take action to protect ourselves. As Taurus finally prepares to move out of Taurus (in about five years), we are likely to begin to experience the changes brought on by our positive reactions. It's simply not a quick fix and requires us to make better choices, consistently. Many large corporations folded during the last Uranus in Taurus transit impacting society in harsh ways. The outcome may depend on the type of leaders we have during this period.
The receptives are balanced in this new moon chart. However, there's a serious shortage of Air placements and Fixed placements. We may struggle with finding balance with our thoughts. We could swing from giggles to rage in a heartbeat. Relying on our instincts could be our saving grace, in this area. Go with what we know to be right.
Meditation for the April 5th New Moon
If you have two legs -- run; if you have one leg -- hop; if you have no legs -- fly!
