Sun is Aries, 26° 02'
Moon is Aries, 26° 02'
The Sun and Moon join together in Aries for the new moon. They are close enough to Uranus in Aries to add an extra pop to the day. We may feel uncomfortable today, for a variety of reasons. The Sun and Moon are transiting over a critical degree, sub-ruled by Jupiter. We are either victim of our own impulsivity, or we end up feeling sideswiped by someone else's impulsivity. Try not to overreact. We will do better to take a step back, take a cleansing breath and try to wait a day or two before deciding what to do. The stellium of planets is forming a square to Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto is at a pivot point for several other planetary interactions. Pluto, the planet of change and transformation, has the potential to send us into a mode of spiraling introspection. Some will consider it a grieving period. Others will feel depressed and others are likely to feel traumatized by the day's events. This could be amplified by the placements of our natal chart's planets.
Mercury has moved out of the retrograde motion and is moving forward again in Aries and back into a square with Saturn in Capricorn. There is the possibility of jealousy surfacing from our perspective of others. It is better to reassess ourselves, exploring our own values, rather than comparing ourselves to what others may have.
There's a loose cradle pattern involving Venus (Taurus), Jupiter retrograde (Scorpio), Mars and Pluto (Capricorn) and Neptune (Pisces). All of these planets will be pushing, poking, prodding and, generally, influencing how we interact with others today. It will be difficult to say what the overall influence will be. There is the potential for productive outcomes. But there will also be the potential for frustrating challenges. With Neptune involved, there is always the chance of confusion clouding the situation. Jupiter's retrograde motion is a little like a Saturn transit, that can help to ground us. Be thankful for that. Jupiter is also moving over a critical degree. This is also a perk, in this instance, since this placement tends to soften the nature of the transit. Avoid any hint of deception today to get the most positive results.
The day, overall, is likely to feel unbalanced. We are attempting to navigate through a maze of planetary interactions that are not of the warm and fuzzy kind. Our head may feel foggy. Our heart may feel confused. There is no Air element in this chart and there is only one Mutable quality (adaptability). We may need to plant our feet squarely in the Earth placements (Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Pluto) to help us withstand all that gets thrown our way.
Meditation for the April 16th New Moon
Getting out of the way and letting things happen is sometimes the very best thing we can do.
