Sun is Scorpio, 15° 11'
Moon is Scorpio, 15° 11'
The new moon in Scorpio can be powerful for change. Our will-power is readily available to us, if we choose to utilize it. The new moon taps into two heavy hitters, Neptune retrograde in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn. Both in a good natured manner that can help us to solve problems and be more intuitive about the needs of ourselves or others. If we have been struggling lately, we may start to see a release that allows us to redirect our energies. We will have more power at this time to get through the situation.
Mercury in Sagittarius is Out of Bounds until November 20. Mercury will station retrograde on November 17. For now, we are able to learn more quickly but we may feel mentally stressed by what we learn. Take a step back, from time to time, to ensure that we don't overload ourselves with too many new ideas and concepts that need more attention. After Mercury begins its retrograde motion, we will need to re-do, re-look, and re-evaluate most matters that involve communication, especially relative to our beliefs and learning process. It's the nature of the process.
Venus' retrograde will end in about 10 days. Currently Venus is retrograde in Libra. Most likely we started to notice a shift in our perspective after October 31, when Venus stepped back into Libra (home territory). But, we are still dealing with the pulling back that get incorporated with relationships, partnerships, and financial matters. We'll get a second chance to explore them after Venus stations November 16. For the past few days, Venus has opposed Uranus retrograde in Taurus, but now Uranus jumped over the cusp and is in the last degree of Aries, once again. This could bring us a jolt of reality. Don't be surprised if there's some feelings of anxiety with this one. Don't make rash decisions for the next few days. Venus moved into a softer aspect with Mars in Aquarius. Some quirky relationships may form at this time. For now, they might be what we need to take us out of the doldrums.
Jupiter is nearing the cusp of Sagittarius as it moves over the anaretic degree of Scorpio. This final degree can add feelings of vulnerability. There tends to be a huge wave a relief afterwards, which will arrive after November 8.
Saturn is holding its own space in Capricorn. No tussles and no compromise. Do the work and do it well, to get the most out of Saturn.
Although there are still many planets in the feminine receptive signs, there are three placements that are pulling back some of that influence to the masculine signs. There is a momentum building to take back things that we may have felt were lost. That's the nature of the two receptives. Rarely do we have all planets in one receptive or the other. When it happens, it definitely causes a new shift of action. It's a bit like the planets are telling us to "get with it, or get out of the way."
There is still only one planet in the Fire element with this new moon. There are fewer individuals willing to step in to lead, however, there could be groups of individuals pushing for change. There are plenty of placements in the other elements, that can carry the torch. On the other hand, there are five placements in the fixed modalities. We may be torn wanting to keep what we have while longing for change.
In the United States, the mid-term elections happen one day before the New Moon. This may bring some interesting perspectives to light.
Meditation for the November 7th New Moon
Predictive statements about oneself, so-called self-fulfilling prophecies, tend to in fact come true.
