Sun is Scorpio, 26° 19'
Moon is Scorpio, 26° 19'
During this Scorpio New Moon, the Sun is finishing up in the sign of Scorpio as the Moon meets up in alignment. The new moon tends to be a time of introspection and self reflection. We enjoy a sense of personal power that we may not always experience throughout the year. Some may call us strong-willed, while others may describe us as stubborn and selfish. The perspective will depend upon the "evaluator." Be willing to explore the reasons for the personal assessment to gain insight on how to improve our relationships with others. The Sun will move into Sagittarius on November 21/22.
Mercury in Sagittarius is moving over a Critical Degree, causing it to be considered more influential. We tend to look for the hidden patterns in all events around us. We are likely to be amazed at the mysteries that we encounter. We are inclined towards discernment above judgment towards others, however our own choices may not be the healthiest. Mercury's sextile to Mars in Libra gives us quick outlets and options. The key is to remove the "self" from the actions to explore how others might interpret the situation. Mercury moved out of bounds beyond the Tropic of Capricorn on November 10 and will remain out of bounds until December 7. The taboos that typically are veiled are likely to be revealed with the help of Neptune's retrograde during Mercury's Out of Bounds transit. Mercury's square with Neptune's retrograde around the time of November 10 may have triggered the significance of the revelations.
Two other planets transiting Scorpio are Venus and Jupiter. For the past week, Venus has been conjunct with Jupiter, expanding on the tempestuous nature and secretive behaviors of the powerful who take what they want when they want it. As Venus is trine to Neptune's retrograde transit in Pisces, there's an underbelly revealed within these interactions. Add in the fact that Venus is also sextile to Pluto, there is a feeling of empowerment for some individuals within the revelations. The awakening can bring both fear and pride to the surface. As we all know, the symbol for Venus represents the female, but in astrology, Venus rules over the feminine receptive sign of Taurus and the masculine receptive sign of Libra.
Mars in Libra is in a reciprocation position with Venus. Mars is the symbol for the male and Mars also rules over a feminine receptive sign, Scorpio, and a masculine receptive sign, Aries. While Mars transits Libra (ruled by Venus) and Venus transits Scorpio (ruled by Mars [and Pluto]) there is a form as psychological reciprocity taking place between the two planets, involving power, privilege and benefits..It is always an interesting dynamic to watch and experience. Make note that Mars is square to Pluto in Capricorn. Watch out for career, reputation and corporate moves that could backfire.
Jupiter in Scorpio is trine to Neptune retrograde in Pisces. Our outlook is likely to be changed as we navigate through legal and financial issues. At a personal level, we may have a passion for items and pleasures that may not be in our best interests. At a community level, we are likely to discover that our past is perceptions of others is likely to be changed, especially while Neptune's retrograde continues to draw open the curtain that was used for the purposes of hiding the truth. A fun story to watch/contemplate, when Neptune is retrograde, is the "Wizard of Oz."
Saturn is finishing up the transit in Sagittarius, soon to be moving into the sign it rules over, Capricorn, on December 20. We may feel a bit jittery, particularly beginning on November 24 and lasting into February as Saturn's transit will take it to the outer regions of the Tropic of Capricorn (higher declinations). The last time this occurred was in 1988 and 1989. Today, Saturn is trine to Uranus retrograde. Our leadership and organizational skills will be challenged, but in a good way.
Overall, the feminine receptive placements are stronger in this new moon chart, along with a preponderance of water element placements. There is likely to be some wading through misunderstandings and sensitivities caused by the somewhat disjointed nature of the planets in this chart. However, this is a time for introspection upon our own attitudes and behaviors. Some of us could grow with enlightenment while others of us might cower in fear.
