Full Moon in: Aquarius 3° July 26, 2010 @ 1:38 a.m. GMT July 25, 2010 @ 5:38 p.m. PST -8
Sun is Leo, 3° 00' Moon is Aquarius, 3° 00'
This Full Moon in Aquarius may actually feel quite relaxing after the last two eclipsing Moon events. Although there is a t-square pattern in this chart, there is also a mystic rectangle pattern that helps deflect some of the intensity. The Sun and Moon are one part of the rectangle while Jupiter (Rx), Saturn (critical degree) and Uranus (Rx critical degree) are holding up the rest of the rectangle. The Sun in Leo and the Moon in Aquarius are reminding us of the importance of love, fun, children, organizations, friends and connections. We also recognize that the Boomerang pattern of the Sun (at the apex), Moon, Neptune, Chiron and Pluto is revealing to us the significance of Leo's energy. Now throw in Jupiter and Uranus, which are both retrograde in Aries while Uranus is at the 0 degree, considered to be a significant and critical degree of Aries. They are opposing Saturn in Libra, which is also at a critical degree. This indicates that there are important messages that we need to try to listen for. The mystic rectangle creates a sense of pressure and tension while also providing outlets and resources. We can sometimes get caught off guard because we feel as though we can kick back and ride it through, but the lesson is that we need to balance listening with actions or choices. The themes could be varied with so many planetary aspects to sift through. (Click on the Pattern Button under the picture above to see examples of the configurations) On July 21, Saturn moved back into Libra for a longer than usual stay until the end of 2012. There may be plenty of lessons for us involving money, relationships and partnerships. There could be some significant legal matters that come up over the next two years. Try not to ignore the important clues that will surface. Jupiter is also on the move, heading back towards Pisces now. On July 22, the retrograde motion began, and Jupiter will move back into Pisces on the 9th of September for a four month review of Piscean messages. The opposition of Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus is creating the base for the t-square to Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. The messages here may actually feel more familiar as we have pretty much rehearsed this energy since we have been dealing with this energy over the past month. Through this t-square, we are most likely dealing with decisions/actions, partnerships and responsibility/stature. You may remember that we also experienced a t-square between Pluto, Saturn and Uranus in September 2009. So, we already know the drill, but we may not want to acknowledge the information as being significant enough to warrant our attention. Another important retrograde transition is Chiron into Aquarius. Chiron retrograde transited back into Aquarius from Pisces on July 15. The puts Chiron into a same sign conjunction with Neptune and opposing Mercury in Leo. Chiron, being both a healing and wounding influence, can be a catch 22 when it comes to interacting with Neptune. Thankfully, Neptune is also retrograde in Aquarius, helping to pull back the blinders and give us a better picture of what is going on. The retrograde of Chiron is typically a review of old suffering and release, so we may not be dealing with quite as much pain with this. Mercury's placement can give us insight and awareness, but we may not be able to use it effectively if we don't use the information wisely. We may end up perseverating rather than analyzing. Mars in Virgo, is moving into a conjunction with Saturn in Libra while also moving into an opposition with Jupiter and Uranus in Aries. As Mars moves into Libra on July 29, we'll get a better sense of what to do. Until then, we will feel a sense of bubbling frustration and possibly anxiety. Until then, all the force in the world won't help. We will just need to let the events unfold this week until we regain our sense of balance. Once Mars is officially in Libra, the influence of the t-square should also become more potent. The step-daughter of the chart, Venus in Virgo. is sitting all alone. No aspects to speak of and really not sending out much support during this Full Moon. By the New Moon, Venus will be in the t-square too, with all the other planets that are currently involved along with Mars. By that time, we'll either be a hot mess, or discover a final release of tension. The Leo energies usually want us to just kick back and relax. Try to do that whenever possible, but also be alert and aware. There will be quite a few "alerts" that we are going to be stumbling over for the next two weeks. The biggest keys to managing all this energy will be keeping a cool and level head, listening before reacting, and releasing some of the tension through love and laughter.
